Friendly welcome at reception. Room clean and tidy. Our main issue was the bed, uncomfortable and mattress needs updating as saggy and created roll together. OK for one night but we stayed for 2 and both had stiff backs. Breakfast was good, although if you arrive after rush will need to wait for cutlery.

The stay was fine, clean and accommodating. Does need an update as it looks like it was a hospital or nursing home. Need to get ride of the emergency pull cords. It was comfortable and the aircon worked and close to town. A resturant across the road and an easy trip back to the airport for us.

A very pleasant stay with a nice positive greeting from the moment we walked in (rather than the frosty feeling phone call had previously). According to a friend who arrived several hours before us, we benefitted from the afternoon change of staff shift!! Bed a bit small (standard double) but otherwise the room was fine, bathroom/shower all good - shower cubicle a good size - larger than usual! Breakfast was just ok... are your scrambled eggs made from a powder mixture?? and croissants rubbery. Would still recommend at the right price and location or Room only and walk 2 mins to M&S

From ringing to confirm to leaving. Every member of staff was efficient, warm and friendly, organised every receptionist, waitress, cleaner A+ 10/10
My stay was an easy smooth ride from beginning to end. Lovely clean room, great breakfast and selection, thank you chef.
I would highly recommended the Braintree Holiday Inn near Chelmsford. Your staff are making you look very very good indeed. (Perfect for staying to go to the races to, absolutely perfect.
