Retro Vibe, Great King Cabin Staff were excellent but very understaffed. Staff members live on site and work around the clock in different resort type roles. Hot pools at the hotel don't open until 9am. Front desk doesn't open till 10. The area is amazing with lots of adventure. Hotel it self is a little dated but still has its charm. The hot pools were clean. King cabin was amazing and I would highly recommend it. No mini kitchen so plan accordingly.

There was a lack of quality control, room was made up nice but no garbage bag in the can, no coffee, no coffee filter. Access to the pools was very sketchy, paths were unmarked and steep with no lighting making it risky to maneuver. The dining was sub par, service was slow, took along time to get our meal and again when I received, it was wrong. The food that did come was good but no way we were going to wait for them to correct. I do not leave bad reviews but when paying premium price I expect a premium experience and that was just not the case

Great Spot, can’t wait to go back Great little getaway. Didn’t realize our room had a bbq or would have packed differently, but the whole place had such a friendly relaxing vibe

The cabin was perfect, food was amazing, however there is no breakfast or lunch option in the restaurant anymore, just a cafe with muffins bagels etc until appetizers start at 3. Glad I brought food. We waited two hours for our dinner the one night, we watched others get seated after us and leave before we even got our food. We ordered burgers, nothing crazy. Server was not on it and if we didn’t ask we probably would have been forgotten.

Great resort! Such nice cabins with beautiful views of the lake. Hot spring pools are lovely. Definitely recommend having dinner at the restaurant. The steak was absolutely amazing and great service. Would love to come back

My daughter got a sliver in her foot with socks on as soon as we arrived. Through our stay in our cabin we all got huge slivers in our feet. We informed the front desk and all they said was sorry to hear that. We left our housekeeping list on our door as everyone does and we did not receive the items we needed restocked. My husband had to go to the front desk to ask for our items and when they were brought to us the staff was very unfriendly. The amount of money you have to pay to stay at halcyon is crazy so the service should be top notch and I shouldn’t have to dig slivers out of my families feet while I am trying to have a relaxing weekend.
