Attended this lovely hotel in a wonderful rural setting for a long awaited catch up lunch with friends! The Pub was warm and welcoming as was the reception from the delightful staff! A good range of beers and wine. The new menu contained multiple choices of food with something for everyone and did not disappoint! We will certainly return and maybe for an overnight as the rooms look very inviting! Thank you!

I visit with my family regularly, but service this time was at its best. A must try…the valley is a well kept secret and this is the jewel.

I dropped in after an over long hill-walk, during which I aggravated an old achilles injury, hoping that a pint and a brief rest would help. The welcome was warm so I plumped for lunch. The menu is mouth-watering local produce and really tempting! Being solo, I opted for the braised beef pie, chips and veg which looked like real value. It was just what I needed. Sticky Toffee Pudding capped it off perfectly. The many menu options were so attractive that I plan a return with my wife as there is so much on there that deserves urgent attention.

Booked a table for our son’s special birthday meal. Seated in the bar area near a window. Served by Suzanne with a smile and enthusiasm took our order for the drinks and food. Two us ordered the lamb rump along with vegetables served in a separate dish, my wife had the salmon dish along with chips. For afters/pudding 2 of us had the panna cotta along with the sticky toffee pudding. We followed this with coffee. The food was delicious and cooked by the excellent chef Grant along with the rest of the crew. Jonathan came along and wished our son on his birthday. All told we all enjoyed an amazing meal and the ambiance of the hotel. We will certainly return again.

Absolutely idyllic in every way, from the friendly helpful staff, the peaceful location to the cleanliness of the rooms, we ate in the restaurant and were not disappointed, steaks were perfectly executed and well presented. Can't recommend highly enough.
