仙人果旅館(Prickly Pear Inn)

This was our second time staying here Cutest place to stay in Cave Creek ! It’s so convenient to be in the middle of Cave Creek as it puts you within walking distance of restaurants, shopping, hiking etc . ( although being directly above the Cave Creek Creamery makes me have to hike even more!!! )

This is a great boutique hotel. Our room had a large balcony with a good view of the mountains and sunsets. The staff was accommodating and supplied all our needs. Cave Creek is a small town with much less traffic than Phoenix or Scottsdale. It has plenty of restaurants, bars, and eclectic shops. It is also convenient to interstates and Carefree Highway. I highly recommend this place.

Beautiful room with all the amenities ! Ideal location, close to all the shops and restaurants ! Staff very friendly and professional ! Very clean and very accommodating for our stay ! Would absolutely be our first choice once again for a vacay in Cave Creek !

Such an amazing inn! Rooms are excellent, rooms are big! Nice decks in some rooms! Great location! Ice cream down stairs! Wonderful restaurant down stairs! Wonderful atmosphere! Totally recommended!! Wonderful, friendly staff! This was our third time staying at the Prickly Pear! Love it !!

Everything about this place is perfect! From the friendly owner to the locals. We stayed in the Bearded Room and it was beautiful. There is a full size kitchen, den and bedroom all in one “great” room. The patio is huge as well and we found ourselves watching the sun set and drinking wine almost every evening. Cave Creek is a mecca of restaurants and shops that we loved. We will definitely stay here in the future. Loved, loved, loved this Inn!!! ❤️

The sheets and bed were the worst I have ever slept on and we have stayed at hotels all over...There is like plastic over the matress and the sheets are so hard and everytime you move, the sheet and plastic move - made it impossible to have a decent night sleep. The room otherwise is great and good customer service, but unless your are brininging your own bedding, I would not stay here,

The Stumblina Restaurant is terrible! Do not order the Mexican food. My wife ordered the quesadilla and I ordered the burrito. Both were terrible, cold tortillas, mushy meat, stuffed with canned corn, no flavor, no beans or rice. Only the chips that we had to order separately and at additional cost were edible. Do not eat there.

My father and I came out in January of 2024 (he's looking to relocate to the very charming town of Cave Creek which is where Prickly Pear is located). Typically he stays at the Boulders - but he wanted to try something different this trip. I couldn't have better things to say about the Prickly Pear! We had to move our reservation several times because of last minute emergencies, and Rodger was incredibly accommodating to the changes. Checking in (even though we checked in after 6pm) was a breeze, and the location could not be more perfect (you are RIGHT in the center of town!) The morning after we checked in, we had not picked up our rental car yet and we needed to get some breakfast before we went house hunting (we had about 45 minutes before the realtor picked us up..) Although everything from Prickly Pear is walking distance, my father was having some trouble adjusting to the altitude - and Rodger offered to take us to a local breakfast spot (and gave us several amazing recommendations for lunch and dinner for us to try during our stay there - all of which were 10/10!!). The rooms were spacious and immaculate - plus, the rooms had full kitchens, which was great for us because we were able to reheat our leftovers on an actual stove or in and actual oven (and not just in a microwave) every night! The beds were very comfortable, the TVs were HUGE and the wifi was able to accommodate my 3 computers I needed to work on throughout my stay (that is always an issue when I travel and have work to catch up on). There were also several times I needed to print documents for work meetings (via zoom) and print our boarding passes for my father - and they were able to print those out for us at the front desk (even though my work documents were rather lengthy). The staff truly went above and beyond to make sure our stay was absolutely perfect and I am very much looking forward to coming back again soon!

I’ve stayed several times now when visiting family, and the Prickly Pear has become my home away from home and a magical, peaceful get away. The staff are super friendly, very gracious and eager to accommodate guest needs. Rooms are spacious with full kitchen, beds super comfy, pillows soft and cushy, and the heating/air conditioning keeps you comfortable and is easy to adjust. Rooms with a balcony provide breathtaking views of the mountains during day and a sky full of stars at night. I love the location right in the center of everything! There is so much to see and do, and the town features great hiking trails within walking distance including the famous Black Mountain trail. You will love the tractor parades!
