維爾加皇宮飯店(Palazzo del Verga)

Ci siamo trovati molto bene,camera pulita,materasso super comodo, ben organizzati con check in /out,noi siamo arrivati verso la una di notte e con le indicazioni super precise abbiamo fatto check in autonomia,posizione molto comoda per il centro di Catania,parcheggio borsellino a circa 5 minuti....

Poco da dire oltre il fatto che dormire nel palazzo di Giovanni Verga nel cuore di Catania a due passi dalla metro e piazza Stesicoro con il suo mercato è già un fatto straordinario. Servizio simpatico e non in auto check in, stanza giusta con anche il balconcino per la sera con un buon calice di vino. Pulizia come una vecchia signora permette e letto super comodo, silenzio. Colazione fornita in camera con vari bollitori e liofilizzati, ma giuro che quei cornetti imbustati ripieni di crema al pistacchio mi sono piaciuti. Devo confessare però che quel bar completo che si intravede entrando fa un pò desiderare una bella colazione, anche a pagamento, ma con un pò di delizie della vostra terra generosa, due formaggi, due uova, marmellate speciali di agrumi, fichi....un pò di caponata fredda per qualche Olandese in forma e due salumi, caffè caffè :-)

Location pulizia arredamento al top. Il balconcino e’ ideale per una tazza di café o pausa sigaretta . Quando torno per lavoro a Catania spero sempre di trovare una camera . Essendo posizionato in centro di Catania rimane comunque lontano dei rumori della strada

First, let me say that the host will probably tell you that I double booked by accident. When he notified me, I offered to pay something. He refused. He will also tell you I wrote a message on my arrival, after following the complicated instructions, to say I’d arrived. This did not mean the place was ok, just that I got in the door. The room was clean and it was modern, like in the photos. There were some amenities you don’t normally find in a B and B, like slippers. That’s about it.It isn’t a B and B, it’s an unhosted apar**ent with three bedrooms. On the day if arrival I asked the owner if someone would be there to meet me and he said no, there would be a housekeeper the next morning. I left at 10 a.m. and never saw anyone. The “palace” is a run-down building. Once you enter with one code, you walk across a patio with cars. Then there’s a long flight of stairs to the apar**ent with a light that stays on shortly. You enter the apar**ent with another code and are greeted by large recycling and trash bins and a tiny breakfast area, where my room was. The other 2 are down the hall. While I was settling in, another person walked in my room (the wood on the door frame is deteriorated and it was hard to lock completely). I felt unsafe in that tiny unhosted place with no supervision ever from an on-site host. Finally, the value for the 150 euros was horrendous. I could have been at the Palazzo Marleta or similar for a bit more (and I regret being fooled by the “palace” and photos of just the rooms). I felt cheated and even asked the owner to partially refund me for the less than ideal conditions and deceptive description of what it is. I travel the world. I am used to all kinds of accommodations, and I have no issue with staying in a great B and B that is properly run. Do yourself a favor and find something where quality and price match. Catania is a beautiful city and this apar**ent shows the worst of it.

Great location less than a block from the ruins and less that 3 blocks from the downtown shopping plazas. The bathrooms were great and the hosts had everything in the room we could need, much more than at other places we stayed. It was nice and quiet, even though we were there during a holiday.

Alloggio perfetto sotto ogni punto di vista: pulito, curato nei dettagli, nei servizi, nell'assistenza al cliente. Ottima posizione in centro, comodo servizio di navetta aeroportuale (non incluso nel prezzo). Camera spaziosa e luminosa. Check in express h. 24. Ci tornerò.

Location is great, bedrooms are spacious with modern furniture, bathrooms are brand new with big showers and everything is spotless clean. The host is very helpful. Communication via Whatsapp is great and he gave us tips on restaurants, taxi and what to visit.

Fantastyczne, klimatyczne miejsce w centrum starej części Katanii. Łatwo trafić - w tym samym budynku jest muzeum a obok Teatro Romano. Jak to zwykle na południu Włoch -wejście robi nieco "mroczne" wrażenie ale później naprawdę świetnie. Apartament jest duży i wysoki; oprócz sypialni (z ogromnym łóżkiem) jest małe pomieszczenie/ wnęka z lodówką, ekspresem, sofą i wyjściem na balkon. Lodówka zaopatrzona we wszystko. Podobnie łazienka - ze świetnymi grubymi ręcznikami, suszarką do włosów, dobrymi kosmetykami a nawet zestawami do mycia zębów. Łazienka duża i wygodna. świetnie działająca klimatyzacja - chyba najcichsza jaką spotkałam do tej pory :-) Uliczka, przy której jest apartament jest zamknięta dla ruchu i są tam miejsca gdzie można coś zjeść. Blisko do przystanku linii na lotnisko (z walizkami, w 40 stopniowym upale szłyśmy spokojnie ok. 10 minut) Dziękujemy, pozdrawiamy i do zobaczenia!
