There were a number of problems here that could have been prevented simply with better preparation and customer service. You are entirely on your own at this property, entering your room with a code that is supposed to be emailed to you ahead of time, and if all goes normally, you should never expect to see any employee here at all. However I never received this email as The Isle of Man is not on the UK system and internet data was not available to me. I called the phone number and one of the Managers, Amy, came to let me in. However her main interest was to deal with me as quickly as possible and get away. Really, she should have stayed around as there were several other issues. The passcode for the Wi-Fi did not work, so again I had to call, and this time reached the other Manager, who insisted several times that the passcode was correct. It was only after I read out the passcode that she realized it was wrong in 2 places. After settling that and attempting to leave my room to tour the town, I discovered that my door would not close and latch as it was supposed to. For the third time I called the number, and was told I had to open the window in the room to break the airlock. When it still didn’t work, I was told to hold the fire door open with my foot as I was closing the door. I felt as if I was being videoed for one of those crazy comedy shows. Eventually the Manager came out again, and I was able to switch rooms. The room was never cleaned during my stay of several days.
