基爾羅南城堡飯店及水療中心(Kilronan Castle Hotel & Spa)

Very impressive hotel with castle furnishings and paintings throughout the hotel. The restaurant onsite offered excellent breakfasts. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The room was large with a full bathroom and an area with a desk and chair. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet for sleeping! We only stayed one night but it warrants a few nights stay to really see all of the hotel!

I have to say my over-all experience of Kilronan Castle was under-whelming. I don't know if I expected too much given the reputation. But my expectations were not met! First off having to walk through the restaurant where people eat to get to the elevators was quiet embarrassing and not a good start! We got to our room, it was fine. Nice furniture to enhance your feeling of being in a castle. The bed was very comfortable. But the shower was filthy with soap-scum and the large showerhead sprayed water onto the ceiling, which in-turn fell down on you in cold drips. Small things like no pen in the room, we asked for a shoe-shing kit at reception(which I nearly expect in a hotel room in 2023) and they didn't have any and wasn't offered any solution either! I was flabbergasted! Breakfast was fine, we were first down on our first morning, and even being there that early(7am) some of the breakfast items were cold and sausages a little pale for my liking. The dinner we had at the wedding that night - the vol-au-vent was lovely and so was the soup, but the mains were only OK, the beef was very tough. Given the prices that they charge, I think this is scandalous! Most staff were friendly - especially the man in reception when we checked in. But I certainly won't be hurrying back - such a pity as this was to be a treat for us after a bad year and it wasn't inexpensive.

Am amazing two night break in the most gorgeous surroundings grounds/interior furniture/food /room and the staff who were just wonderful especially breakfast team and the receptionists all of whom were most helpful Very relaxed atmosphere and Leisure facilities were excellent as well All in all one of the very best breaks we have ever experienced and hopefully return with USA based family in due course Thank You Kilronan Castle

Splendid place with character. Well appointed rooms in the middle of seemingly nowhere. BUT.. the place seems underserviced and staff stressed and, at least on one occasion, a bit snarly. Notable exception was the Polish bartender in the Library bar. Friendly and accomadating.

Had a lovely relaxing time over the June bank holiday weekend. Fantastic meals in both Douglas Hyde and Palm Court restaurants, gorgeous room, nice pool & spa, lovely grounds and good craic in the bar too. Everything was great, highly recommend.

Went here for lunch. The venue and vibe of the place was bad. The seats are not comfortable, and it felt more like a glorified cafe than fine dining. Staff were clumsy, dropping cutlery on the floor and spilling drinks. However, an Indian-looking waiter was above reproach. The food was average, and we were given the wrong order. They did make amends, but everyone else had finished their meals, as it would have gone cold by the time the replacement came. The extension of the castle looks obviously modern. No real effort or money was put into making it look like it's part of the same building. Overall, it was an underwhelming experience—nothing we expected. The Palm Court needs a complete makeover, and the staff needs further training. Expected more from this place.

We stayed here in 2018 and 2019. My husband and I bsolutely loved it here! We brought our 3 fluffy therapy dogs and the hosts of the Castle loved them as did many of the guests. Thank you for your amazing hospitality!!! It is extremely memorable. Slàinte Daithi and Maire 🍀🍀🍀

My partner and I stayed for two nights in this beautiful hotel. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly faces on reception with a warm welcome. We stayed in the Turlough O’Carolan Suite with amazing views over the gardens and lake. The room made you feel like you had stepped back in time with the decor appropriately done to feel like a real Castle Stay. Both Restaurants, Palm Court & The Douglas Hyde Fine Dining were excellent, the service fantastic and food amazing. The Spa is a must to try and beautiful walking trails around the grounds. The best part of this mini break was the staff, from Reception, House Keeping, Spa the Restaurant & Bars all had excellent people skills, so welcoming and down to earth. Would return again for the staff alone. Well done to all.

What a lovely, magical place! The grounds are beautiful, the staff are exceptional, the food is amazing, and the service is top notch! There was some confusion with our reservation, and the staff were intent on making it right. It worked out wonderfully and it was our favorite place to stay during our week-long holiday. We just wish we could have planned to stay longer!
