I visited Sparkling Hills with a friend this week. The resort itself is beautiful. The property is picturesque and the pools/steam rooms are what dreams are made of. However, what they have in amenities, they lack in service. It is near impossible to get a hold of the front desk (calling to make a reservation and also while staying there). The front end staff at the spa were also incredibly rude and impatient. It seemed like we were an inconvenience for booking treatments. We weren’t given any direction on where to go or which appointment came first, and when I walked back to inquire, I was ignored by the employee while she tried to sell product to another customer. I was so thankful for the hairstylist, who took the time to help us and to make it a better experience. Lastly, on our way out of the resort, we decided to pick up some product from the spa. We were promptly scolded for not wearing our robes and told we couldn’t be in there. When I told the staff member, we wanted to buy product, she didn’t help, and proceeded to walk away. Comparing it to other resorts and luxury hotels, it felt really disappointing. I hope they can improve upon this area to make it a more pleasant experience for their visitors.

Das Swarovski-Hotel ist für Erwachsene ＞16 Jahre ausgelegt. Es liegt auf einem Berg mit spektakulären Ausblick auf den Okanagan-Lake südwestlich von Vernon ( ca 20 Autominuten und nördlich von Kelowna ca 50 Autominuten. Sehr interessante Architektur, innen viele Skulpturen mit Strass und Glitzer. Um die Anlage herum gibt es ein paar Wanderwege. Wir hatten ein Superior Zimmer mit See-Blick. Eine Badewanne mit Blick auf den See durch ein durchgehendes Fenster von der Decke bis zum Boden. Leider verfügen die Zimmer kein Balkon. Das Zimmer war sauber und standardmäßig mit Fön, Bügeleigen, TV, Safe und Kühlschrank ausgestattet. Der Zimmerservice und Techniker stets schnell zur Stelle, wenn etwas fehlt oder etwas nicht funktioniert. Die Schiebetür zur Toilette ist laut und weckt in der Nacht die Begleitperson. Aus hygienischen Gründen wäre es auch sinnvoll ohne Benutzung einer Schiebetür ein Waschbecken in der Nähe zu haben. Es gibt kostenfreies Valet- Parking und auch Parkplätze vor dem Hotel. Ein Auto ist für Unternehmungen sinnvoll. Unserer Meinung nach ist die Organisation des Hotels etwas umständlich, Termine für Checkin, Checkout und Frühstück sowie für das Restaurant Peak- Fine sollen vereinbart werden ansonsten entstehen längere Wartezeiten insbesondere. beim Frühstück! Nicht sehr amüsant einen Termin entweder um 7:00 oder 11:00 ausmachen zu müssen, da sonst alles ausgebucht sein sollte. Bei der Ankunft im Hotel erhielten wir nur auf Nachfrage eine nicht sehr gute Einweisung. Das Frühstück war alla Carte und war sehr gut. Abhängig vom Personal wurde auch auf kleine Änderungswünsche eingegangen. Für unseren Geschmack empfanden wir die Möglichkeit mit Hausschuh und Bademantel ins Restaurant Peak Fine zu gehen nicht sehr geschmackvoll. Das Restaurant bietet einen schönen Ausblick auf den See. Das Essen ist OK. Alternativ gibt es eine Austria Hütte ( Gernies ) etwas außerhalb des Hotels, dieses ist Original aus Österreich wieder aufgestellt worden. Aussenbereich mit Bierbänken , innen klein mit 4 Gästestuben. Nette Idee. Hier kann man nicht reservieren. Leider war das bayerische Essen weit weg von dem was man erwartet, z.B. das Schnitzel fest wie Sohle und die Panade nicht fluffig. Bei schönem Wetter gab es im Mai überhaupt keine Möglichkeit im Außenbereich des Hotels zu sitzen um die Sonne zu genießen, nur über den Spa gibt es um den Außenpool ein paar Liegen. Der Spa- Bereich ist nur mit Bademantel und Badeschuhen zu betreten und ist sehr großzügig und sauber und bietet viele verschiedene Saunen und 2 Pools und einen Whirlpool. Anwendungen waren recht teuer. Fazit: Laut Aussagen von Familie und Freunden, die früher schon mal dort waren scheint sich jetzt leider das Niveau verschlechtert zu haben, die Inneneinrichtung könnte etwas modernisiert und die Organisation verbessert werden.

Friend & I had a “Girls Getaway”. Beautiful rooms, lots of relaxing activities. Took part in a stretch class as well as some treatments. Book early if you want treatments!! There is lots of hiking trails too. Restaurants and staff were delightful. A perfect place to unwind with such amazing scenery.

We arrived after a long drive having travelled across Canada (taking in 5 hotels in total) and were initially wowed by the friendly check in service and then the amazing view from our room, plus the freestanding bath in the room. However there was nowhere to conveniently put our cases, so we had to store them under the beds. But we noted there were only toiletries for one person, the sliding door in the toilet had no actual handle, and was difficult to close. The 3 pull down blinds for the huge windows let at least 4” of light in either side which blazed into the room, thus waking us up earlier than we’d have liked. No complimentary water at all-we asked for some at reception and it never arrived. No coffee or tea making either- surely this should be a given? The service in the cocktail bar was just awful-we arrived 40 mins before our dinner reservation for a calm drink and as there was only one waiter doing all the drinks, they arrived after 35 mins. We asked the waitress if she could let the restaurant know (just one floor up) we would be a bit late and she said she wasn’t able to!! We came back from a trip on the second day to find a wet, dirty cleaning rag left on the desk and the beds had not been properly made-just the duvets thrown roughly back. No toiletries had been replenished either. We went to reception to politely complain and the duty manager we spoke to listened to our concerns and refunded us one cocktail each and got our room cleaned while we waited downstairs. That night, when we had an early start the next day, there was a very noisy group of women upstairs who kept us awake. We called reception to ask if they could deal with this and during the call, the reception was more interested in verifying our credit card details from check in, than dealing with the actual complaint! Dinner and breakfast were great however- our dinner waitress Shannon was wonderful and Jess for our last breakfast was also cheerful, and efficient. The food was also excellent with lots of vegan options (is we are not vegans!). The spa was beautiful, with an outdoor heated infinity pool overlooking the lake. But the ladies showers were filthy and needed a good scrub. In summary-beautiful building and rooms, but scratch the surface and the staff seemed rather uncertain and inexperienced. Basics like water and coffee/ tea in the room, in a hotel of this calibre should be a given basic standard. Two water stations in the whole hotel is not adequate (one was out of order the whole time). We stayed at many places during our trip and this was the only hotel we had any issues with. Such a shame

Sadly I’m writing this review in hopes that CHANGES will happen!!! First this Was my 18 time to the resort as I use to love going here sadly it will probably be my last I had booked three nights with a girlfriend who it was her first time and definitely her last she said.our first night was beautiful besides that that two of the spas had no working hand held showers to rinse off your seat which is very unsanitary so I chose to use other spas The next day woke up to no shower caps in your room so I had to go to the front desk and ask for two not a big deal then there toilet paper use to be nice they have replaced it with very rough inexpensive paper. The Day before our stay I was contacted via email about my up coming stay and if I needed anything I called and asked for a kettle for in my room as when you stay three nights I like to be able at night to have a cup of tea in the past no problem to do that now I was told I would have to order room service or buy my tea from the Little restaurant so I brought my own kettle from home only to find out when I got there that they still had kettles if asked for them so they need inform there staff better I was upset about this but again it’s really just a small minor thing Then the fridge in our room froze our champagne and all our food and it actually exploded making a huge mess they cleaned the room and replaced our champagne and gave us charcuterie wich was fair as it was there fridge that was not working Next they rented 80 rooms to a group that was there on a conference for two nights that night the pools were full of these guests who were drinking shouting being rude it did not stop there they kept us up till 3 am that night this is a Wellness Spa not a party place I woke up to go to swim my morning laps to a dirty pool and puke 🤮 in the hall way that one of the groups partier were cleaning up we went and complained they promised it would not happen a second night at 1002 pm I was awaken by them again i jumped out of bed and went and dealt with them my self as there was no staff around to help out and no one answered the front desk so we decided that we would see if we could extend our stay for forth night as we wanted to enjoy a night so they gave us a discount on the room only to have the pool have no heat we would have never extended our stay if we had known that and when we went to complain it was like they did not know but yet there was a rooter rooter truck there since morning and returned the next day also they have updated the sitting chair in the room but NOT the beds so mine was ok but my girlfriends bed had a huge gaping whole in it she was very uncomfortable but they were sold out of room so we could not change rooms The dining was amazing and our favourite server Jesica was there every morning to take care of us we also booked my favourite salt scrub that I get every time I go there but it had gone up from $95 to $129 for a 45 min service and really it’s less then that as you are sho

I’ve been staying here for years and notice the decline in some areas. Precovid there was a pastry and fresh fruit plate with several potteries. Now it’s 1 very small pastry each and the fruit was very dried out—looks like they had been sitting out for a very long time. Same both days. Asked for gluten free pastry which was excellent! Also inconsistent between tables. One day at breakfast the folks around us were offered digestive beverages and we weren’t. We got 4 slices of bread for dinner for 2 people, but the table of 2 next to us only got 2 slices of bread. The 3 course dinner provided lots of food and was excellent.
