Wir sind ziemlich verwundert über diese sehr guten Bewertungen hier. Aufgrund der Fotos und der guten Bewertungen hier, aber wir uns für das Hotel entschieden. Leider würden wir hier nicht noch einmal übernachten. Wir waren 2 Nächte dort. Das so gut bewerte und hochgelobte Essen im dazugehörigen Restaurant können wir nicht nachvollziehen. Wir haben fast 1 Stunde auf das Essen warten müssen, obwohl wir die einzigen Gäste waren. Das Esseb war eher durchschnittlich ok. Der Burger war sehr trocken, obwohl der besonders empfohlen wird. Auch gibt sich das Hotel als Whiskey Experten aus. Der junge Kellner konnte uns gar nicht beraten, weil er kein Whiskey trinkt. Es war aber auch niemand anderes da oder wurde geholt, um uns zu beraten. Als wir in der Lounge saßen hörten wir auf einmal ein Kind aus dem Fahrstuhl schreien, weil das Kind dort stecken geblieben ist. Der Aufzug kam uns von Anfang an nicht sehr vertrauenswürdig vor. Eine halbe Stunde später ging der Feueralarm los, der erst nach 10 Minuten abgestellt werden konnte. Mit einen Lächeln versicherte man uns, dass es ein Fehlalarm sein muss. Wir haben viel mit Humor genommen ;-) Die Mitarbeit:innen waren alle sehr lieb und bemüht. Man hat uns viele Ausflugstips und Broschüren gegeben. Alle waren wirklich sehr bemüht und sehr freundlich! Das Hotel hat Charme, allerdings kann dieser den sehr schlechten Zustand des Hotels nicht wett machen. In den Fluren und im Zimmer roch es oft unangenehm. Im Zimmer war sehr viel abgewohnt, zahlreiche Sachen sind ab/-gebrochen und nicht in Stand gesetzt. Der Ausblick aus dem Fenster war besonders unschön. Das Frühstück war leider sehr lieblos und gar nicht gut. Am 2. Morgen haben wir daher woanders gefrühstückt. Uns ist bewusst, dass wir in einem 3-Sterne Hotel waren. Allerdings können wir die sehr guten Bewertungen hier nicht teilen. Die Fotos, die man online findet, sind absolut nicht aktuell und stellen den Zustand des Hotels nicht realistisch dar.

Myself and my wife had an excellent overnight stay on Friday. The hotel staff are brilliant, welcoming and very friendly. Our room was at the back of this lovely hotel overlooking the hills and was very nice. Very clean and comfortable. Large and a great bathroom with very large shower. As a whiskey hotel it certainly did not disappoint. The wee bar was great. Both the barman Declan and general manager Paul were very nice and very knowledgeable about the whiskey. Took time to speak with us and Paul showed myself around the new projects presently started within the hotel. It is simply a whiskey lovers paradise. The amount of choice is phenomenal. I tried the Friends at Hand flight, four tasters of whiskey which was extremely nice and explained not only by the tasting notes provided but also by Declan. We also had dinner in the adjoining bar which was excellent before returning to the wee bar for more drinks and whiskey. Breakfast was in a charming room and again was very good. I can’t praise the staff enough for their attention, friendliness and whiskey knowledge. We will certainly return and hope too also spend a night in the future with my whiskey loving mates.

Incredible! Beautiful well appointed rooms. Staff is gracious, accommodating, & helpful. The food was excellent & ample (if they have the mushroom soup, do it!). Tremendous whiskey selection. Can't wait to go back!

We stopped by this hotel to stop in to try the whiskey. They have a wonderful whiskey bar and shop. We were greeted by Katie who was friendly and knowledgeable about all the different whiskeys. She let us sample two and my husband had a taste of a bottle that they had just purchased at an auction. Limited edition and won’t be produced again. Cora also assisted us while tasting. Overall experience was fantastic and you should definitely stop in for a tasting or perhaps book a night at the hotel.

Myself and my good friend booked a girlie afternoon cream tea day out at tge nearly refurbished hotel on the antrim coast yesterday andit didn't disappoint they sat us in the beautiful front room and decor was just stunning beside one of their gorgeous open fires they then served the great choice of coffees and teas with mini soup to start then amazing homemade scones clotted cream delicious jam with fruit compote to finish ...the service was genuinely topnotch too checking if we needed any more of anything a few times throughout the experience..we got a added extra bonus by the manager paul I think he said his name was who showed up around the amazing whiskey room and explained the different types of whisky and flavours they have to offer on the whiskey nights the hotel throws..thank you paul for that ... i can't wait to pop back in to taste the restaurant food as it smelt and look incredible as we watched it being served up

Great place to stay, delicious food, clean, friendly staff. Stayed a Saturday night, great atmosphere and a warm welcome. Hotel and especially the bedrooms are exquisitely decorated. Real attention to detail. Cofy and spacious rooms with all expected amenities. Comfy bed and soft linen. Everything was clean. Great location to explore & free parking. Could easily stay 5 nights as a Base to explore local and afar. Irelands first whiskey hotel did not disappoint in the variety of whiskies and eerything else. Delicious Irish Coffee. Definitely a destination in itself. Very tasty food, we had fish & chips and daube of beef. Great entertainment enjoyed as part of the whiskey festival. A variety of items available to order at breakfast but the full breakfast fry was hard not to order so we had it and enjoyed it immensely.

Fantastic experience. Well informed staff. Great breakfast. Unique whiskey offering - try the house pours!! Beautiful decor and furniture. Excellent Guinness. Comfy beds & spacious rooms. Quaint little town by the sea. We would recommend this hotel.

Special Birthday lunch but totally underwhelming bland food. Looked pale and anaemic and we both had the champ and whiskey chicken with sauce and onion rings. The onion rings were crispy but the pale meal boring and lacked flavour. Service was below average and very basic. No pleasantries or friendly welcome. We were both so disappointed and this was a special birthday

A group of us stayed on Saturday night, the hotel is beautiful, relaxing and very welcoming The food was outstanding and with a large group everyone was served at the same time with no delays. staff are very friendly. The band Tartan Riot played last night and they were very good, great music. The room that I was in was gorgeous and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. Would highly recommend the hotel.

Great night at the newly renovated harbourview hotel. They have done a great job of keeping all the characteristics of the old hotel while bringing stylish and elegant decor to the bedrooms and the public areas. Staff were brilliant as was the food and service. Would highly recommend this hotel.

we just had the most fantastic stay with a group of friends. A warm welcome both with the open fires, the great refurbishment and most of all the staff. Our room was welcoming and really tastefully decorated. We had a great evening with lots of laughter, cocktails and live music. This certainly wont be our last visit!

Our room was beautifully decorated and lovely sea view. Staff very welcoming and food great we will stay again we had a great overnight stay dinner and breakfast 😋

Fantastic venue. Brilliantly renovated by new owners keeping the character but driving the standards. Bar and restaurant so well done and staff were 100%. Great place to stop as a cyclist also for a bite of breakfast or lunch. Got to try the Whiskey also. Best selection I have ever seen and they even have their own Carnlough brand. If you haven’t been just go. You will not regret it.

My wife and I stayed in the Harbourview for the first time on the 23rd Oct. We were treated to a great evening. Food was delicious, seafood chowder for lunch was excellent and we also had dinner in the restaurant. The staff really made the stay; Paul catered to us the whole time including a lovely dram or two in the whiskey warehouse. Adrian made the time to let us know the vision of the hotels' future and the delightful pictures of his Irish Wolfhounds. We attended the Whiskey Club in the evening. Great craic, tasty drams and a few bells and whistles. Right up our street. Special mention for table service at breakfast. This was a treat as everywhere seems to do a standard and uninspiring breakfast buffet. Erin was a lovely host. Other staff worth a mention, Ben and Keera run a lovely bar, Carol on the front desk was charming and knows a lot about the hotels history. Rooms old school cool with very comfy beds. All in all, I would recommend a stay to anyone, I know we'll be back.
