Wir waren als Familie mit drei Personen vor Ort und jeder Moment war einfach toll. Super schöne Anlage am Hang mit einzelnen Bungalows und privaten Pools. Das Essen war fantastisch - vegetarisch, organisch, hochwertig und gesund. Jeden Morgen sowie 2x/Woche am Nachmittag wird im offenen Rooftop Yoga - Raum mit Blick auf den Pazifik Yoga angeboten. Welch ein Start in den Tag. Die Eigentümer Gali und Yoav habe eine wahres Paradies geschaffen und waren tolle Gastgeber. Unsere Tochter hat sich absolut in deren Hunde und dann auch in sie verliebt :) Vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft, in der wir die Zeit, die Tage und Daten vergessen konnten und einfach im Moment waren. Semplicemente perfetto, per posizione pulizia e vista foresta e mare spettacolare dalla terrazza sdraiati sull'amaca. Non abbiamo fatto la colazione nella struttura quindi no so giudicare. Ogni giorno sono disponibili sessioni di Yoga fatti nella terezza dedicata dell'Hotel

Mit Abstand die beste Unterkunft während unseren zwei Wochen Urlaub in CostaRica. Die sehr gepflegte Villa (für vier Personen mit eigenem, kleinen Pool) war geschmackvoll und bis in kleinste Detail durchdacht eingerichtet (und jedes Zimmer mit Klimaanlage) - die Küche, die wir ab und zu nutzten (Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gleich ums Eck) war sehr gut und sinnvoll ausgestattet. Das Resort liegt in sehr ruhiger Lage abseits der staubigen Hauptstraße von Playa del Carmen / Santa Teresa Das super nette Personal reinigte den Pool (ab 6 Uhr) mehrfach jeden Tag und die Villa wurde ebenfalls täglich gereinigt. Die angebotenen Yoga Kurse waren ebenfalls top! (Jessica’s Vinyasa Class war super toll) Speisekarte so wie angebotenes Frühstück waren ausgezeichnet! Muchas Gracias für die schönen Tage an die Eigentümer! Fazit: Pura Vida - Hier kann man sich bestens erholen - daran können sich andere Resorts ein Beispiel nehmen! Vielen Dank! Jürgen & Elias

Un bel hotel dans les hauteurs de Tamarindo avec des chambres confortables et équipées. Malheureusement la patronne est extremement desagreable et nous explique que le petit dejeuner n’est pas inclus meme quand on lui montre la reservation ou c’est inscrit. Elle devient alors meprisante et irrespectueuse et on se rend compte 30min apres que sans meme nous prevenir elle chargent 60€ sur notre carte de credit… dommage qu’elle ait gachée la fin de notre sejour..

My 8th visit to CR and 3rd to Santa Teresa. I came to Horizon to restore and reset after a long tough time recovering from a difficult family loss. My main objective has been to kickstart my wellness routine after a year and a half of being out of synch - exercise, healthy living, kind people with good vibes, fresh food prepared with love, surf, hike and priceless sunrises and sunsets. So far, I have found all of that at Horizon. Horizon is a quaint and charming mountain retreat, located a short walk up the mountain side of town. A trail interconnects all of the various element of this boutique resort. Gali and Yuav offer the perfect balance of being available while also maintaining privacy. There has not been a request that I have made that hasn’t been met in a very timely manner. Yuav is the best kept secret in ST - a true Renaissance man. I’m 100% straight, by the way. Yuav is a 5 star chef, while also maintaining a demanding resort management role. Did I mention that he is also a top notch yoga instructor? He also maintains many hobbies that most would find very interesting. I would be very surprised if there was a request made by a guest that he could not, or would not, satisfy. Gali is hands on and doesn’t miss much. She truly loves and breaths this hospitality experience. A few points of note: - If you are looking for a chain hotel, Horizon is not for you. You will not find staff that went to a brand name HRIM college or University. Frankly, you will find better here. - If you don’t like the charm of an old bohemian town that has evolved quite a bit since my first visit 30 years ago, this is not for you. - Costa Rica has evolved and is now a town that is represented globally. Not everyone here is a Tica. There are many cultures represented in ST, and the language and cultural shifts can create a disappointment if you’re not able to communicate properly. This is okay, in my opinion, by the way, as the food options here are more diverse and authentic than any big city in America, while still maintaining that beach side bohemian charm. Just be sure to choose your body language and words wisely as there can be a risk of gross misinterpretation and/or losing a friendship over same. - This is Costa Rica. The first thing I do when I arrive is obtain an ATV for my entire stay. Taxis are available and the drivers are super friendly and informative. But if you are a slave to taxis and walking everywhere, you may miss out on some of the charm and experiences. Full disclosure - I grew up on horses, dirt bikes and ATVs. I have been all over the world and have stayed at top 20 rated resorts in many countries, but Horizon is right there with the best of them. The website doesn’t nearly do justice to this place.

The setting is really nice. The garden with the little pool is beautiful. I had a studio and I was so impressed by the set up, decorations and cleanliness. The kitchen unit is fully equipped. Coffee is complimentary. The balcony is very spacious with an amazing view over the ocean. Wonderful place to recharge in Santa Teresa.

Well-equipped private bungalows in a beatifully landscaped complex with exquisite attention to details. The pura vida yoga ambience is evident everywhere you look. Loved the privacy awnings and the fan on the balcony terasse, we were comfortably cool any time of day and in the evenings. The owners are on-site and incredibly friendly and helpful, as is the staff from gardener and security to restaurant wait staff.

we spent a week in the horizon horel and enjoyed the time very much. The cabins are very clean and well furnished. The atmosphere is wonderful, with warm little things the guest will be shown to be welcome. Yoga on the wonderful deck was great and places always prepared. We didn't miss anything. Thank you very much!

One reason we picked Horizon was because of their 5 star ratings from all who wrote a review. I had never seen this before with such a large number of reviewers. I can honestly say that now I on the list as well. What a marvelous experience! Our villa was absolutely perfect for our family of four. Big bedrooms, very comfortable beds and beautiful balconies overlooking our private pool and our backyard. We often used the pool to either wake up in the morning or cool down from time spent on the beach. I spent many an afternoon laying in my hammock outside on our balcony, reading and enjoying then breeze. I often heard the sounds of howler monkeys and many varieties of birds in the background. The kitchen was well used by us for breakfasts. There is everything you need to cook whatever you want. The coffee machine also was used daily. We love the tasty Costa Rican coffee. Horizon is on a hill overlooking Santa Teresa. Short walk down the hill and you are in the middle of everything. Cross the street and there is a path to the beach. Take a left and you are minutes away from bakeries, restaurants, tour agencies, supermarkets, pharmacies, ATM’s….it really is in the perfect location. The owners of the hotel, Yoav and Gali are warm and welcoming. They truly put their heart and soul into Horizon and it shows. They are available at all times and will help with whatever you need. It was truly a wonderful experience and we can not wait to visit again. It will feel like seeing old friends. Enjoy
