We loved staying here and absolutely recommend this hotel to anybody looking to spend time in the Carmel/Monterey area. This hotel is a bit up the street from the main shopping area, which is nice if you want somewhere quiet. We liked that breakfast was included as a picnic basket delivered to the room each morning; much better than having to find breakfast in town each day! The woman who checked us in was particularly friendly and helpful - when we told her we would not need the basket delivered the first morning due to leaving for an early morning whale watch, she provided us with one in advance the night before so we could still have something to eat. This was such a nice, thoughtful touch.

The place is clean and cozy. We stayed at one of the cottages across the street, which had a jacuzzi. Breakfast was delivered every morning. The staff is very friendly and helpful. All the attractions of Carmel-by-the-sea are within a walk distance (albeit a bit hilly). Don't expect much "ocean views" from any window.

Bed very comfortable. Property beautiful. Nice amenities. Wine and cheese 4-6,breakfast delivered,robes and towels for the hot tub, nice fire pit, staff friendly , room with microwave,fridge,coffee pot and fireplace

Room was average. Noisy heater fan next to bed, sticky TV remote. Picnic basket breakfast was OK if you like lots of carbs and sugar.

Loved our stay here. Everyone working on property was so friendly and accommodating. Appreciated our breakfast in bed and the wine and cheese happy hour by the fire. Will definitely stay again!
