The Trinity Hotel

We had an amazing time at this hotel the night before our visit to Carlsbad Caverns National Park. This is a small hotel, so book early! Our room was huge and had a bathtub big enough to swim in! The rooms was spacious, clean and very well done. My family of three really enjoyed our stay and would defiantly go back! The hotel restaurant is Italian and delicious. Eat here when you stay here! They did a wine tasting for us before our dinner. This hotel is well done, very fun, clean and comfortable. Thanks for an awesome evening, dinner and experience!

We stayed at this beautiful historic hotel after hiking for a week in Big Bend and Guadalupe Mountain National Parks and had a wonderful stay in room 201. Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated and the bathroom with a large tub and shower was a dream. We enjoyed the complementary wine tasting with cheese, a delicious dinner at their wonderful restaurant and a free breakfast in the morning before getting back on the road. Customer service was outstanding, shout out to our friendly Bartender Belinda as well as to the owner for taking time to assist us with the lock to our room. Highly recommend this hidden gem and will return next time we visit NM or west Texas.

We stayed here one night after visiting Carlsbad Caverns NP. The town of Carlsbad has MANY hotels geared towards longer term guests(working in the area). This hotel is situated downtown, though there really isn't much of a downtown with anything to do. Check in was easy. Parking is in a small lot behind the hotel. 2 rooms are on the first floor but have Outside entrances. You cannot access the inside of the hotel from those two rooms without going through the front door of the hotel. The rest of the rooms are upstairs. 2 staircases. The one out back is metal and the railing was super hot when we went up. The other staircase is inside but is Very steep and dark. Take your pick :) Our room was dark and the bed really outsized the room. Bathroom on the smaller side. No glasses except wine glasses for us to use. We slept well but there was street noise(cars) until after midnight or so. There is one restaurant and bar the hotel has that we really enjoyed. That is why I am giving it a 4 star rating. Without that, it would have been a 3 rating. I will review the restaurant later. The hotel offers overnight guests a small wine tasting and complimentary beverages and pastries in the morning. The bartender advised us of such...no one else told us about it. All in all, it was fine but nothing exceptional.

Nice older hotel. The beds were very comfortable and the rain shower was great. That being said we checked in on a Sunday afternoon just as the lobby was closing. My wife and I were the only persons in the building until 2:00pm the next day. The papers you got with the key said & 7-9am complementary coffee and pastry for guests. Everything closed and no coffee maker in the room or ice machine available. The room was large but the traffic noice was constant except from 1-4:30am. When we did see the staff Monday afternoon they we very nice and we finally got a bucket of ice from the restaurant.

We stayed here for two nights as a family while we were visiting Carlsbad Caverns. The restaurant itself was excellent with incredibly friendly staff and really delish food, wine, and beer (we had two dinners and two breakfasts). The room itself was quite lovely with many historic details. Our only complaint is that the pull out sofa for our children was positioned in a way that it was very difficult to enter and exit the room when opened and the mattress and foam padding had seen much better days. Our young kids had no complaints but I doubt that would be the case for anyone older than 12. Overall I would highly recommend this unique stay and restaurant if you are heading to Carlsbad.

The atmosphere is more like a big room in an old house. We had calamari as an appetizer which was delicious. My first dish was pork chop with mashed potatoes. It was too salty to eat, so I had lobster ravioli instead. It was perfect! The server was sympathetic and helpful about sending back the over salty dish. My husband had the chicken parmigiana and it was great. At the end of the meal we weren’t charged for the pork dish OR the ravioli. She also gave us a free dessert to go. It was a fabulous piece of cake with berries! The ambience was interesting since the restaurant is part of the original bank building where Sheriff Pat Garret had his office in the 1800’s. We love the history of the old west, and if you do too, you will enjoy eating in this restaurant. On the way out, the manager/host told us a little history about the building and Sheriff Pat Garrett. We would absolutely go back!
