天使飯店(The Angel Hotel)

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was amazing and most importantly it's a walking distance to several beautiful sights in the city.

Got a great deal on a room only basis so room was small but that's ok. Breakfast at £15.50 each was decent value as plenty of choice and catered for gluten free. Car parking at £15 per night was fine too. Hotel itself is starting to show its age but reception, main foyer and bar area were really nice. Staff all very friendly, so would stay again.

Beautiful old style Hotel, large rooms and an entrance from an elegant age, simply beautiful. Real class, only had the one night, but in Cardiff and I will stay again. Staff were friendly and helpful 🙂

We have been visiting the Angel 2-3 times a year for over 20 years, but this was our first time as residents. The property is dated, and is clearly trading on its past reputation. Bar and restaurant staff were unprepared for visitors and were unhelpful and slow. They also had no regard for residents post match. Thankfully the reception and cleaning staff were excellent - friendly, polite and helpful.

Reception where friendly and hotel when walking in is stunning. Unfortunately few bad points… Parking £15 Room (333) burn marks in floor, cracked sink, mouldy shower buttons. No usb outputs. Found bed uncomfortable but that could just be due to personal taste.

This property is convenient for the whole of cardiff City. The rooms are comfortable although a little over heated without the option to turn the radiators down. Its a little tired and could do with some refurbishment. The check in was easy and quick and staff were friendly. The breakfast was ok, some items were luke warm, plates were cold so the cooked breakfast was not so appealing. There was a choice of cold and some continental options. Overall 3 out of 5 for us. Some improvement needed.

On arrival was told lift was out of action. Carried my case up 3 flights of stairs, quite tiring as they were carpeted.Arrived back on 2nd day and keycard didn't work, back down to reception for another which didn't work either. I said I'd have to have a breather before climbing 3 flights for the 3rd time only to be told there was another lift!!

The staff here were exceptional nothing was too much trouble, from start to finish faultless! Sarah/Joey on reception, Millie who was fantastic on the bar and Shaheel on night porter all of you are a credit to this hotel!
