Das Hotel ist ein sehr gemütliches Boutique-Hotel mit einer tollen Terrasse mit Ausblick auf das Meer. Ein sehr schöner Ort nicht nur für einen Sundowner. Wir haben dort zweimal zu Abend gegessen und es war beide Male sehr gut. Auch das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen. In gut 5 Minuten ist man zu Fuß an der Bahnstation. Von dort fährt für 1 £ für die einfache Strecke regelmäßig ein Zug nach St. Yves. Sehr praktisch. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die sehr freundliche Atmosphäre und Herzlichkeit der Gastgeber.

My husband and I stayed at Boskerris Hotel during our visit to Carbis Bay. It was a wonderful weekend for us at this hotel - the views of the sea from our room, the lovely and welcoming hotel staff, the cute little garden outside our room, the scrumptious little cookies inside our room that reminded me of cookies that my grandma would make, and of course, the delicious hotel breakfast. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect weekend getaway. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants some peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of city life as it is very peaceful in Carbis Bay!

After a horrendous journey down to Cornwall due to bad weather and an accident en route, it was a huge relief to finally arrive at the Boskerris Hotel. From the moment we entered the hotel reception area we immediately felt a huge sense of welcome and started to relax. We booked the Superior room which had a fantastic sea view, and all the home comforts were included - home made biscuits, spotlessly clean room with a very comfortable bed, a wonderful bathroom with a lovely big shower, kettle, coffee machine, dressing gowns, slippers and an iron. The room was beautifully decorated to a very high standard. We ate in the hotel restaurant on the evening we arrived, and the food was superb with lovely friendly waitresses serving us. There is a bar area where you can relax and have a drink in the evenings, and if the weather is nice you can sit outside on the upper decking and enjoy the beautiful views of Carbis Bay in front of you. Breakfast in the morning was in the same restaurant area and the choices were excellent. They also cater for vegetarians and vegans too. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly and helpful staff that looked after us while we stayed, and the use of their local taxi chap Matt from Matt's taxis made a huge difference for getting around the area and being able to relax without having to drive. Matt was very helpful and his knowledge of the area is excellent too. There is a train at the bottom of the hill behind the hotel within walking distance that you can catch into St Ives for a wander around the shops and which has plenty of places to eat too. It runs every 30 minutes along the coastal line all the way to St Erth with onward connections and back towards St Ives, stopping at various stops en route. On our final day we went to Porthmeor beach which has a surf shop where you can hire body boards, wetsuits etc, and it also has a cafe, toilets and changing rooms. The beach is life guard controlled so you feel safe there. We will definitely stay at Boskerris again as we had such a wonderful and relaxing time. My husband and I visited Cornwall for the first time and decided to choose this hotel as it is based in a quiet residential area (and it is adults only!) The location is a 35ish minute, hilly walk to the centre of St Ives but a lovely walk nonetheless. At the hotel Anne was a wonderful host who spent time showing us around the hotel and she was extremely helpful with suggested nearby restaurants and various other suggestions. She was genuinely interested and caring about our wellbeing whilst staying at the hotel. We had a lovely made-to-order breakfast too which was delicious and included vegetarian options. The bedroom was beautifully decorated and extremely clean. Overall, a highly recommended hotel for anyone who enjoys peace, good views, tasty food, friendly service and a moderate walk or a train ride into the buzzing St Ives.

This has been a favourite place to stay for almost 50 years! Several changes of ownership, and now a more up-market concentration, with no children. Superb service from all staff. Immaculately clean, and several personal touches. A Nespresso capsule machine in the room was very much appreciated, along with the shortbread and bottled water. (No fridge in the room.) Excellent breakfast and staff happy to modify, such as adding bacon, or tomato, mushroom etc. to the smashed avocado with poached eggs.. Bookings are required for the evenings and the menu is somewhat limited, but the food itself excellent - love the fresh bread with butter too. The afternoon savoury scone with cream cheese and fantastic onion jam, well worth a try, as a change from the scone with clotted cream and jam.

What a beautiful, calming hotel. Amazing views over the lovely garden towards Carbis Bay. The food was absolutely delicious, best salmon for breakfast we have ever had and the muesli with yogurt & fruit was irresistible. Big thanks to the lovely staff, especially Ann, Carol & G. This place will make all your troubles just melt away!
