It was perfect

The arrival at the hotel was pleasant from being received by Ms. Phila who had taken us through our check-in and tour of the hotel. A big thank you to Lungile and Siyabulela at housekeeping for making the occasion of our 1year anniversary the most romantic experience. From Candle lights to rose pebbles to bubbly on ice, this was everything. Great thinking out of the box by the team. Our day at the hot pool next to Azure Restaurant we were exceptionally served by Sis Pinkie who was little of a disturbance but a check up for refill for our drinks at the right moments. The food at Azure on our date night was good, just disappointing that our King and Queen Prawns were either overcooked as the inside was soft and upon deshelling not intact. Overall the experience was great.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights - hoping for a luxury getaway. What we got was a dated, tired and rather ordinary experience from a hotel that charges luxury rates. It has a great location but it’s quite obvious that there has been a change in ownership or management as it is now a far cry from what it used to be. What struck me most was the front desk staff - they would never greet us as we walked past- perhaps they save their manners for other guests. We encountered many different front desk staff during our stay and all were the same- rude. The breakfast boasts oysters on the buffet, but other than that, wasn’t any better than a breakfast one would get at a three star hotel. The pastries and cold meats were not up to a 5 star standard. On the positive side- the sea facing rooms and the bar had lovely sunset views.

Die Klientel ist überwiegend 2 Tage Im Hotel, entsprechend ist das Tohuwabohu und die Wartezeit am viel zu kleinen Empfang. Da nützt auch die oberflächliche Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter nichts. Überhaupt ist das Hotel voll mit Mitarbeitern, die völlig konzeptlos, scheinbar ohne Organisation und oft entsprechend überfordert handeln, z.B. es wird weggedrückt, wenn man die Rezeption anruft. Das betrifft auch die Restaurants und Housekeeping. Das Haus selbst ist beträchlich in die Jahre gekommen. Patina, altes, abgewohntes Mobiliar sind Standart, auch in den Restaurants und Zimmern. Unsere Klimaanlage war defekt, brummte im Minutentakt und wurde trotz Beschwerde weder behoben noch ein Zimmerwechsel angeboten. An Schlaf war kaum zu denken. Der Ersatz von Kaffee und Tee für die Zimmerausstattung fand erratisch statt, ebenso der Ersatz von Handtüchern. Servicemitarbeiter unterhalten sich, auch abends und frühmorgens in den Gängen und knallen die Türen. Im Hauptrestaurant redet das Personal laut andauernd miteinander. Das Essen in den Restaurants war bemüht gehobener Standart, leider aber nur bemüht. Einzig mit den Steakgerichten kann geglänzt werden, das ist aber für den Standart zu wenig. Beim Frühstück geht es ähnlich zu, bei voller Belegung nur noch verdünnter Orangensaft.

Stay away. Water in this hotel is contaminated. This was only discovered when my wife ran the tub and to her dismay found the water to be brown. When confronted, management was aware of the problem and chose to keep it away from their guests but claimed the water was tested and found to be ok despite it being brown. When asked for the test results, the manager was unable to produce any documentation. As such in the interest of our health I decided to check out after only spending 1 night. Management appeared to be happy for us to leave as i suspect tgey didnt want us to alert the other guests. Both my wife and I got sick but cannot confirm or deny this was directly attributed to tge water. This ruined our wedding anniversary. If checking in, first ask yo see the colour of the hot water as I believe this is largely due to the aging infrastructure of the hotel.

Without doubt the premier destination in the Camps Bay area. Surrounded by views of the imposing mountains on one side and offset by stunning ocean views and sunsets on the other. The perfect location for a coastal retreat. The staff are warm, welcoming and attentive. The rooms are spacious, with closets and are well appointed, with very comfortable beds and all the amenities you need in the bathrooms. The large yet intimate bar situated overlooking the ocean and daily sunset provides wonderful backdrop for inhouse Gin tastings accompanied by live low key musicians playing in the background. As does the Azure restaurant with a wine list to match the excellent food choices. There are a range of dining options from casual to fine dining, high quality seafood and meats, sushi/sashimi food experiences at the Azure or Cafe Grill. The standard is very high, even when compared to Cape Town's extensive foodie destinations. The chef prepared honeycomb ice cream is a real dessert treat! With extensive beverage and wine options too. The sommeliers, Danelia and Juliet (if I recall correctly), were very knowledgeable and helpful on what Cape Town and South African wines amongst others have to offer. Breakfast at the Azure on the balcony is stunning with the morning sun and views while enjoying a cappuccino, chef cooked or buffet including champagne and fresh oysters. Out by the pool where the sun is warm and the pool is maintained at the perfect temperature, food can be ordered poolside. The club sandwich was my absolute favorite. A variety of experiences had can be arranged in house with the concierge including helicopter flights that can provide a sensational perspective on the Cape coast, Cape Town and surrounding valleys. Imran the ironman and his colleagues were very obliging in doing this for me as well as arranging offsite restaurant and airport transfers. The Guest relations representative, Zintle was always on hand to ensure my stay and experience was going well from dining and wines, to gift shopping, she helped make my stay exceptional. The front desk check in team were friendly, made the experience seamless and only too happy to help me at any time. A wonderful experience that topped my list in my three stays and visit across, Cape Town, Franschhoek, Stellenbosch and Camps Bay over a two week period. The Twelve Apostles is a fabulous first class destination in Camps Bay and Cape Town.

Super Lage, Essen ist auch köstlich, waren in beiden Restaurants. Bedienung und Service sehr zuvorkommend. saubere Zimmer und auch der Außenbereich sehr gepflegt. Besonders zu betonen ist der Shuttle Service nach Camps Bay oder zur Waterfront, obwohl wir mit dem Auto dort waren nutzen wir es fast täglich, zudem ist der Fahrer Lulu einfach super, er hat uns viele Tips gegeben (essen, Aktivitäten,etc.)

Hotel proprio di fronte L ‘ oceano . Stile coloniale ed accogliente . Una piccola piscina con splendida vista soprattutto al tramonto . Un ristorante ( Azure ) internazionale con una splendida terrazza . Nei periodi di alta stagione un po’ troppo frequentato da curiosi o diretti al bar

We stayed here on our first leg of our honeymoon and we literally wanted to cancel the rest of our trip to stay longer. Our experience was amazing. Every single person at 12 Apostles, from chambermaids to concierge to wait staff to upper management, all make you feel like the most important person in the hotel.
