威爾頓莊園飯店(Wilton Manor No Loadshedding)

I was traveling in Cape Town as a 30-something solo woman who grew up near NYC - just starting off this way because before coming, I heard earfuls about how safety in Cape Town. This particularly wonderful house (rather, two historic 1920's dutch-style houses connected by a raised deck that encompasses a dining area, kitchen, game room, and a small pool) was in a safe, set-back area where I had no qualms about walking around day or night. As in any city, I'd advise not having your valuables anywhere visible or pick-pocketable, and certainly not walking distracted by staring your phone or wearing headphones at night. Usual city stuff; I felt Cape Town was safer than many U.S. cities. Anyways, back to the house. I contacted them early (through *********** communication interface) to see if they wouldn't mind holding on to my bag, and they provided immediate feedback saying that's fine. The experience was all very personal; they asked around when I'd be arriving, and when I showed up someone was waiting to let me in the front gate. I was given a fob for the front gate, key to my room, and separate key for the in-room safe. The staff were so warm and gave me a tour on arrival, showing me the very cozy but stunningly decorated common areas. There was a small fridge with drinks/honesty bar. The pool was glowing pleasantly on the deck. I'll note for the sake of anyone with kids that I can't imagine using the pool for things like cannon balls or big raucous splashing, since it's in close proximity to the eating areas. The common area had a nice outdoor table on the deck where people gathered in the evening, and a cozy area where someone could sit in a hanging pod chair and relax for a bit. There was a large room with a big table I could imagine a big group playing some games (also provided) in the evening. The room itself that I stayed in was gorgeous, comfortable, elegant. There were extra blankets in the cupboard and there was an A/C unit, which I didn't end up needing because the room opened to a rear balcony that I could use to let the cool evening air in. The room itself stayed a pleasant temperature without external controls. Breakfast was AMAZING and huge! Fresh-cooked eggs, tomato, bacon, mushrooms, and full optional continental breakfast. I didn't have a car, but there seems to be free parking on the street and within the gated confines of the guest house. ~30 minute walk to V&A/Robben Ferry. I'm absolutely booking here again on my next trip!

A beautiful, well laid-out and decorated property. Our room was large, comfortable, quiet and well-furnished. The owners/managers were very accommodating to our requests to arrive early to leave our bags and also to extending our stay. The communal areas, both interior and exterior, were very inviting and well-furnished and maintained, with plenty of natural wood furniture and fittings. We tried to sit in different places over the three days we were there, in order to enjoy them all. The weather was just a bit too chilly to try the inviting-looking pool. Breakfast was served in these communal areas and consisted of a wide range of cereals, baked goods and cold options plus hot options cooked to order. Very tasty! The property is an easy 20 minute walk to the V&A, aquarium etc and also the Green Point bus stop for the Hop-on, hop off buses (red and blue routes plus Cape Point tour). There are a good number of restaurants within 5-10 minutes walk, in a safe neighbourhood. Property security is fantastic, with a fob for both the front gate and front door plus key to our room and key code operated safe in our wardrobe. They also employ a security guard at night.

Der Aufenthalt war hervorragend. Zu Beginn hat sich eine Mitarbeiterin beim Check-In Zeit genommen, um uns alles Wichtige in der Unterkunft zu zeigen. Das Zimmer war ebenfalls sehr schön. Das gesamte Haus ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet, sodass wir uns sofort wohlgefühlt haben. Beim Frühstück blieb kein Wunsch offen. Es gibt eine tolle Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken. Neben dem Buffet wird jedem Gast ein separates englisches Frühstück immer frisch zubereitet. Sonderwünsche wurden immer hochmotiviert umgesetzt (bspw. vegetarisches Frühstück, Frühstück ganz früh am Morgen, weil ein Tagestrip geplant war…). Dies betraf auch das gewünschte Doppelbett anstatt zwei Einzelbetten im von uns gebuchten Zimmer, da bei der Buchung leider alle anderen Zimmer bereits belegt waren. Zudem sehr freundliches Personal, sodass man gleich bestens in den Tag startet. Die Gästeküche kann auch abends genutzt werden, sodass man sich auch mal selber Essen machen kann. Weiterhin war alles sehr sauber, abends ist ein Wachdienst da, sodass wir uns sehr sicher gefühlt haben. Die Parkplätze auf dem Hof sind ebenfalls bewacht. Das Wohnviertel ist traumhaft schön und gehört zu den schönsten und sichersten Vierteln in Kapstadt. Den Hafen und auch das Meer erreicht man schnell zu Fuß. Alles in allem eine Unterkunft, die unsere sehr hohen Anforderungen übertroffen hat. Von uns eine ganz klare Empfehlung (auch an unsere Freunde und Familie). Hier steht der Gast im Mittelpunkt. Mooie en veilige plek om te verblijven in Kaapstad. Ruime kamer, zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Goede uitvalsbasis voor uitstapjes, parkeerplaats voor de deur. Het grote koloniale huis heeft een mooie uitstraling. Er is een klein zwembad, een ontbijtruimte binnen én buiten. Het heeft wel veel trappen en op en afstapjes maar dat was voor ons geen probleem. We hebben er een heerlijke tijd gehad. Naar Waterfront loop je ongeveer 20 min en met de auto ben je binnen 15 min bij de Tafelberg en Lionshead. Verder hebben we van daaruit ook veel de Uber gebruikt. Die was er steeds binnen 1-2 min. Heel handig.

Very nice ambiance in the hotel. It was a bit noisy in our room in the morning with young children already awake somewhere else. The room was nice, big bathroom with shower and good two seperate beds, which we asked for. The breakfast was really nice and complete. Good location. Safe neighbourhood.

Thanks for the hospitality and going out of your way with my late arrival and early departure. Your service is above expectations. The room was clean and confirmable. Early breakfast was well received and tasteful.

Les chambres, l'accueil, le petit déjeuner sont tous d'un niveau excellent. Le rapport qualité/prix est exceptionnel.

A very clean residence to stay in. All the staff were very friendly and accommodated our needs as required. The breakfast was excellent. The location was also excellent, only a 20-minute walk to the V&A Waterfront. Felt safe at all times. Being so close to the Cape Town CBD it was always very quiet. Would recommend a stay at this location.

L'accoglienza è stata calorosa da parte di tutto il personale Le camere e gli spazi comuni sono puliti, ampi e arredati con gusto e attenzione ai particolari. La colazione ottima ed abbondante servita in un ambiente davvero bello Il rapporto qualità/prezzo davvero ottimo L'unico difetto è il bagno un po piccolo, ma per un soggiorno breve non ci sono problemi Davvero un bel posto!
