My husband and I stayed at Sutherland House B&B to celebrate our 26th anniversary, his birthday and mine. The house is easy to find and while close to town , is by itself so no noises from outside. The inside is gorgeous and so welcoming, with victorian style throughout. Our room was beautiful and the mattress very comfortable. The jacuzzi was so appreciated as were the makeup removal wipes, nice soaps, and bathrobes. All the little additional touches like a snack basket in the bedroom, the fireplace, DVD movies, mini fridge with sodas, coffee bar and homemade cookies in the hallway were all so welcoming! The best part was not having anything else to do except focus on each other and have fun meeting the other guests at breakfast. Breakfast itself was a culinary adventure! Three courses of the most delicious food ever! Another bonus was being near to several nice restaurants for dinner. We went to a Japanese steak house nearby and it was really good. All in all, a really nice stay and, yes, we will be back!

My husband and I were past due for a couples get away. We decided to have our very first Bed & Breakfast experience and the Sutherland House did not disappoint. We had excellent communications from staff members in regards to our stay. I appreciated that even before we arrived they reached out to us to see if we had any dietary restrictions or special requests. I eat a gluten-free diet and they were very kind to be able to accommodate my dietary needs. Breakfast was truly an amazing experience. I thought that with being gluten-free that I would be getting something simple like bacon and eggs but quite the opposite. They provided me with a delicious 4 course meal. The home was cozy and felt like stepping back in time. We appreciated the small touches such as complimentary cookies, snacks, coffee, and supply kits that were provided in the rooms. Between the thoughtful touches and the convenient location this was truly a wonderful experience.

Lovely home. Quiet and peaceful. Didn't hear other guests. Stocked with sodas, snacks, coffee and teas. Comfortable beds. Most of the downstairs is open to guests. Lots of room to read, relax or play games provided. 3 course breakfast. Beautiful setting.

Exceptional stay here. Great location, minutes away from Canandaigua lake. Close to a number of wineries as well. Lots of amenities, comfortable and clean room. Unbelievable breakfasts! Would definitely stay here again if I’m in the Finger Lakes area.

Very friendly, clean, close to cmac had a great stay. Had a nice movie and game selection as well. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Made what could have been a bad trip due to the weather, into a wonderful one. Thanks

My fiancé and I stayed here for the first night of our mini vacation around the Finger Lakes. We had the most wonderful time. The amenities were plentiful, the bed was quite literally the comfiest we have ever slept on (we had the Parker Suite), and the 3 course breakfast prepared for us by Nate was filling and delicious. There was a lovely coffee and tea station outside of our room with massive fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. They had cans of soda, little bags of chips, and candy for the guests to snack on. The patio area was perfect for us to sit outside in the sun after breakfast in the morning. I found the old Victorian decor to be charming and fascinating to look at. The rooms downstairs for guests to enjoy had plenty of things to look at and read, with a piano in the corner and nice music playing softly in the background. We will certainly stay here again when we return. I did a lot of research before booking our stays across the region and this one checked all of our boxes for what we were looking for. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast for anyone looking for a relaxing and romantic stay with their loved one.
