White Mountain Cozy Cottage with Touch of Modern

No water pressure for shower Didn't smell clean when we arrived so my girlfriend had to open all the windows to get the stale musty smell out and it hadn't been cleaned in awhile so my girlfriend found spray Lysol cleaner under the kitchen cabinet and cleaned all the kitchen counters, the bathroom, the fridge as it wasn't clean and the coffee pot was old and the warmer on the pot was nasty and rusted and my girlfriend had to scrub it out to use it, Please replace your coffee pot for your next guest, Also the low water pressure was not in the description and we couldn't use the shower due to water was low trickle and no hot water in the shower, had to run the bathroom sink for a good few minutes to wash our bodies up with soap and washcloth which is unacceptable, the kitchen sink had minimal water pressure to wash dishes, We wouldn't have rented if we knew we wouldn't be able to take a shower and the fact it hadn't been cleaned prior to us coming, the sofa needs replaced as it is old and the sofa was all scratched up, my girlfriend used our throw blanket and one from the closet to cover the sofa to sit on it and we washed them, we used our own bedding and our pillows, We didn't use the bedding that was on the bed, we made the bed back up with the bedding that was on it, the cabin was nice sized but needs some updates, the grill worked but wasn't clean so I had to scrub it and we used our foil to cook on it. My girlfriend cleaned the cabin again at checkout.

It was ok if you just need a place to sleep while you travel around the area although I think the best western was cheaper.. the pictures of the inside were spot on.. the cabin was very moldy smelling even leaving the windows open for a day did not help. Shower had mold as well.. it did not feel dirty though, the cleaning service did well, fridge stove floors were clean… The trail to the river beach was sketchy.. and not clearly marked as in the photos on the website .. there was a creek that you have to pass over to get to the river beach and Blair wood .. that creek was brown and foamy and draining right down to the river by the beach.. the covered bridge close by was nice.. I did not research well as it was an impromptu trip.. you can hear the traffic from the highway.. and the picture of the view with the rock is not on the property.. there was no directions as to where that was taken.. tv, ac, internet all worked fine.. and the porch was lovely to have a morning coffee on. Dogs loved the large grassy area.. and if you wanted to do a fire pit you are required to go to the fire dept to get a permit.

Perfect little cabin for a weekend getaway with easy access to the riverfront.

Great first time Great stay in the NH white mountains! Really enjoyed our stay! Check in and check out process was very easy. Would stay again.
