瓦伊河谷飯店(Wye Valley Hotel)

We had a wonderful 2 night stay. It is our second time here although we have tried three times before. Barry kindly recommended an alternative in Tintern on one of those occasions. Breakfast is filling with an excellent choice and we had an evening meal on one of the evenings (fish and chips, but extra special not like some places we have eaten at. Dessert for one of us but I couldn't manage anything else! Exceedingly clean room (no 4, no spiders once again, down to Taz)? I am already looking at returning in the near future. On a weekend away visited Tintern Abbey and found this lovely hotel that had a very cosy lounge bar , 2 lovely fires on and very welcoming. We had really good real ale and a fabulous ploughman’s lunch with 3 local cheeses and some delicious home cooked ham . Would definitely recommend and visit again . Thank you for your hospitality .

Lovely, comfortable traditional hotel with lots of charm and comfortable and relaxing bar and lounge areas. The owners made us feel comfortable and welcome. They even went out of their way to meet us early the next day on our hike to deliver the lunch sandwiches we had left behind at the hotel!

A lovely hotel in the heart of the Wye Valley, 10mins from Chepstow surrounded by beautiful countryside. Easy walking to the Abbey, Tintern station and the River Wye walks literally just across the road. The hotel has amazing rooms with new bathrooms, all incredibly clean and luxurious linen. Breakfast is 11 out of 10, locally sourced sausages, bacon, eggs, mushrooms etc, fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurts and juice all served in a spacious dining room. The staff were all very helpful, Barry recommended walks and lent us books of the local area. Both Sue and Grace, chatted to us and couldn’t be more helpful explaining the menu and their recommendations of where to go. Most definitely the place to stay and we will be going back again and again, with your pets if you like. Very pet friendly. 🐾

We really enjoyed our stay and the spacious room/bathroom were great. The food is well above average and we especially enjoyed the lamb. Great place to stay while exploring Tintern.

We had a very comfortable 3 night stay in a large room, with everything we needed. The breakfasts were excellent with plenty of choice. The cooked breakfast was delicious, especially the bacon. At the evening meal we were spoilt for choice and everything we both ate was fabulous.

Lovely hotel, has a real homely feel to it. I think it looks so inviting from outside. As we arrived in tintern and drove through the village to the hotel, we rounded the corner and my mum said 'oh the wye valley hotel, that looks nice'. I said, 'that's where we're staying!' We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. Delicious breakfast in the morning, with butchers sausage, bacon, good quality eggs, tomato and mushrooms. It filled us up till our evening meal. The evening meals were also very good quality, proper homecooked food, amazing fish and chips! Barry and Sue were such lovely hosts, friendly and took a genuine interest in where we were going each day. The staff we met of an evening were also really friendly and attentive. Our rooms were bright and airy. Very clean and the tea tray had an array of teas and coffee and packet of biscuits. It was great they were replenished each day as some hotels don't do this. The bar had a real traditional feel to it, nice a**osphere to eat in for our evening meal. We chose to eat at the hotel for all 3 of our nights.

What a lovely hotel! My room was bright and clean, hotel staff were attentive and polite, food was fabulous (ate evening meal and breakfast there over the course of a one night business stay.). It also felt good value for money. The location was just fantastic - 15 mins drive outside Chepstow. Will definitely be back

Contemporary decor, friendly staff, parking, clean and tidy and a brilliant, well cooked meal. Couldn’t ask for more from a local pub/restaurant. Food and table/bar service was excellent. Food was hot, well cooked and plentiful. Drinks cold & well served.
