We were around 40 people and were informed that there were sufficient suite rooms, but we were given dormitory, which was absolutely untidy because water from the ACs was leaking and was stagnant in the entire rooms. House keeping was very poor. Despite booking the hotel with a pool, we were denied the pool in their yard as it is off-season now. When asked further they replied that the pool was under maintenance. Misleading-faulty advertisement by showing Suite rooms and pool by concealing the fact that dormitory is provided and pool is not provided in off-season. They created ruckus by demanding the full amount of package even though they didn't provide site rooms and pool. We, the entire 40 member team were deceived. Besides, breakfast and dining were unsatisfactory. The behavior of the staffs at the hotel (arranged by the tour operator) where lunch was provided was extremely bad and disrespectful. Our tour operators were 2 drunken guys who failed to coordinate and manage a large team of 40 people and to meet their expectations.

Firstly, we were promised a hotel room, but were given a dormitory instead. The dorm room had fungus infect walls and bathroom. There weren't water available at times. The AC was pre set to a fixed temperature of 30 degrees and cannot be altered. The dorms were also filled with centipedes. The bathroom door was broken. We were scammed. One of the worst places to ever set foot on. There are better places for this same price or more.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Piggy Hostel Calangute during an office trip, and I must say it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. I feel compelled to share my negative review to warn others about the numerous issues we encountered during our stay. First and foremost, the staff at Piggy Hostel Calangute were incredibly arrogant and unprofessional. Their attitude towards us was dismissive and disrespectful. It was evident that they had no interest in providing a pleasant stay for their guests, let alone catering to our needs as a large group. To make matters worse, basic amenities were severely lacking. The tap water in our rooms was not running properly, leaving us struggling to even perform the most basic hygiene routines. It was highly inconvenient and unacceptable for a supposedly reputable hostel to have such water supply issues. The air conditioners in our rooms were malfunctioning, making it incredibly uncomfortable to stay indoors. Coupled with the absence of fans, our rooms became unbearably hot and stuffy, leaving us with no respite from the sweltering Goan weather. This lack of basic cooling facilities significantly impacted our ability to rest and recover after long days of work. One of the main attractions that drew us to Piggy Hostel Calangute was the promise of a pool, which turned out to be nothing more than a disappointment. The pool was out of order during our entire stay, denying us the opportunity to relax and unwind after a tiring day. This false advertising further highlighted the hostel's lack of maintenance and negligence towards its guests. The overall cleanliness of the hostel was abysmal. The toilets were filthy and poorly maintained, with unpleasant odors and unhygienic conditions. It was evident that proper cleaning and upkeep were not priorities for the management, which is utterly unacceptable for any accommodation establishment. Perhaps the most disappointing aspect of our stay was the lack of value for money. Given the exorbitant price we paid for our large group, we expected at least basic comfort and a reasonable standard of service. Instead, we were met with a litany of issues and a complete disregard for our satisfaction as paying customers. To add insult to injury, all 47 members of our office trip had similarly bitter experiences. It is disheartening to see that Piggy Hostel Calangute consistently fails to meet the expectations of its guests, especially considering the potential it had to be a great accommodation option in the area. In conclusion, I strongly advise against choosing Piggy Hostel Calangute for your stay. The arrogant and unprofessional staff, lack of running water, malfunctioning air conditioners, non-existent fans, non-operational pool, appalling maintenance, rude behavior, unclean toilets, and overall poor value for money make it an extremely regrettable choice. Loved the hospitality. Loved the vibe. Loved the peace. The best part is that the hostel has all the basic amenities around it. Very quite and peaceful ambience so you can consider for workation. 5 stars!
