梅特爾波勒飯店(Metropol Hotel)

A charming provincial hotel - unchanged for many years. Staff were lovely. Room was clean. Breakfast was Good - maybe they could add an omelette to the menu?

My vehicle was very badly damaged whilst parked outside this hotel during my stay. Vehicle damage NOT hotels fault but response to was utterly appalling. No assistance provided and when requested details of any possible CCTV and guest who apparently watched incident take place was screamed at by manager for asking for their details, totally bizarre. I have never stayed anywhere and been treated so appallingly.

This is a very traditional hotel with lots of character. The staff were very helpful and pleasant at all times. Especially Catherine! Even our little dog felt at home here. Definitely would return if ever in Calais again.

Room smelt musty and needs updating, our room didn't have a shower either . Room was clean enough, had tea and coffee facilities and a tv. We parked our car on street outside ..there's plenty of parking around. Men on reception were very friendly and helpful .

The most helpful and amazing lady checked us in and was super helpful with both scanning and helping with ice-cubes and information

Stayed here before and chose this time because I was travelling alone. Feels very safe. Very easy to find. Car parking undercover is payable but safe and secure. Only downside this time was a noise like something inside the walls, could have been plumbing, don't know.

Stayed as part of a cycling group, hotel has secure garage for storage which was great. Very welcoming reception and bar area and staff always around to help. Bedroom not huge but layout made it feel roomy and had everything in that we needed was well cleaned and bed comfortable. Tea/coffee tray, desk/dressing table, hanging space for clothes and bedside tables both sides. Decent bathroom with shower, soap and gel provided and there is a hairdryer. Good breakfast, usual continental fare all very fresh and there is cooked upon request. Would definitely recommend a stay here, very good value.
