We loved out stay at Cable Beach Club. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. The grounds are lovely ( and often visited by wallabies!). The restaurants are top class ( we ate in two of them and absolutely loved both meals). There are two pools, both stunningly beautiful and one of them adults only. One of the best things about the pools is that there are actually enough deck chairs and cabanas that you don't need to worry about being able to get one at any time of the day. That is a rare thing in resorts. Sitting around the ocean pool and relaxing was one of the true treats of our stay. The ocean pool is also quite large - large enough to enjoy swimming laps if you get up early before others come to the pool. A pool this size is also a rarity. The service is impeccable throughout the hotel and its restaurants. The hotel is located quite far from Broome, but there is a once a day free shuttle that will take you into town for shopping at around 10am. So, why did I rate this beautiful place a 4, rather than a 5? Cable Beach Club is extremely expensive and for the price they charge, it needs to be perfect or at least near perfect. Here are a few of the things that make it less than perfect. 1. The bedding. We stayed twice. In our first room, the bedding was old-fashioned sheets and blankets, like something out of last century. In our second room we had decent duvets, but still not of the quality and comfort I expect for the price we were paying. 2. The noise in some rooms. As I said, we stayed twice. Our first room was in the Frangipani Wing. On our balcony we could hear the constant noise of music from the nearby pool and other noise from the nearby sport facilities. For the price we were paying, I expect tranquility. Our second room was in the Corella Wing ( the adults only part of the resort). It was much quieter ( and more expensive). If you are going to pay Cable Beach Club prices, then I recommend you pay the extra and treat yourself to a room in the adults only section. It is worth the extra. 3. Extra charges. The airport shuttle costs 5 dollars per person each way and if you want to store bags, it's 10 dollars a day. Why would a hotel charging this much bother with these small extra charges that make them close to no money? It's a bit baffling really. So, in sum - Cable Beach Club is a stunning facility and staying there is a treat. It could and should be just that bit better for the prices they charge, however.

Very welcoming staff at the airport and shuttle bus, but the information available at the desk was minimal. Arrived at midday on a Friday and found it difficult to find somewhere for lunch as most places were closed. The room was comfortable but we were only provided with 2 small bottles of water for our 2 day stay. The floorboards were very creaky so I pity the people below us. The resort lacked the sophistication that you would expect when it is advertised and priced as” luxury.” The restaurants were very good but again lacked a degree of sophistication eg no finger bowls or napkins when you had finger food such as duck pancakes. The exception was the restaurant beside the adults only pool where the service and food was excellent. The grounds were tired and some ponds filled with algae. In summary high price, lacked sophistication and not luxury.

Based on our experience we would not stay at Cable Beach Club on our next visit to Broome unless there was a radical shake up in the resort. It seemed to be clearly trading on its prior reputation and was not a 5 star resort, based on our travel it equates to what we get in a 3.5 star. There were positives but the negatives far more. Many of the negatives could be easily fixed but there were just so many of them they cumulatively made the experience not live up to expectations. Positives Bags got to room by themself without chasing and were picked up and available for transfers to air port - porter service was excellent Room was good size and if updated would be a real feature Adult pool is very pleasant Grounds are nice Spa was good Negatives (in no particular order and with suggested solutions) L’Occitane products in bathroom which was good but no body wash - provide body wash as well as shampoo conditioner and body milk. Not eco friendly as little bottles of bathroom things - solution put in large refillable bottles in shower & bathroom sink Bottom draw in wardrobe could not open as ran into track for wardrobe - lift draws and put on base frame. Not a lot of storage - put shelving under tv Tv had no cable Chanel’s only free to air but did have good movie selections - provide a standard cable package Only one courtesy bus into town a day and you needed to book several days in advance, when we came to try and book in the morning and was told it was full the solution offered was to the public bus timetable (which does not run after dark in any case) - solution put on a shuttle bus on an hourly or 1/2 hourly timetable to take guests to and from town. At the room rates being charged this should be covered. Did not warn us we needed to book on site nice restaurants (when they are open) well in advance (I think before you arrived) therefore cannot comment on food offerings as we did not really eat on site. When we were turned away from one we were told only option was the pub style sunset grill. Instead we booked off site and had really nice meals at Bali Hai, Papa Fuego and Sausage Johnnys. All these are recommended but you will need cabs. Solution at a minimum let guests know at check in to make reservations or better still increase availability so we could get in. no room service Pools were all pebble Crete - a personal aversion of my wife. No mini bar -provide on No on site bar open after about 9pm - we were turned away as closing when we got back from dinner. Coffee in room was just instant no coffee machine in room - install pod coffee machine. Water in room was single disposable plastic bottle with instruction to refill - spend extra $ and give everyone a branded reusable water bottle which would then give branding in reuse outside resort. No concierge, There was a tour desk but it closed mid afternoon - should operate till mid evening and provide full concierge services. Buildings while clean and well maintained

Had another amazing 6 night stay at Cable Beach Club Resort. Amazing friendly staff throughout the whole resort . Fantastic service at Pandanus and Sunset bar, Housekeeping and ocean pool Reception and Tour desk gave us outstanding service.

15min late into appointment. Soak lasted 5min with no scrub or massage.Awful/limited colour choices.Bad paint job, bad nail shape. I think she is in training but if so why charge full cost? Or the spa was so quiet why wasn’t the other spa lady assisting her/supervising her. Poor thing should be way more supported and trained. Lacking a lot of confidence and it’s not her to blame but the people responsible for her/managing her. Left feeling overcharged and with a very very substandard service and poor result that I need to have redone somewhere else tomorrow. Better off going down the boulevard for $55. Much much better. Just paid $115 for what service I couldn’t tell you.1/5.

Extremely disappointed. Walk ins of up to about 30 young adults.One group over the day totally wasted ,one having to be carried out.Doing wreckless somersaults and screaming across the pool.Wont be staying again.Felt like we were at a back packers.Had paid for a pool access room.Rang reception .Said they would look into it and never did.Wow!!!
