Absolutely wonderful! Fantastic venue with exceptional period furniture mixed in with more practical everyday features. Staff went above and beyond from the minute we arrived and the food was excellent.

Everything was excellent, easy walk to the shops and everything was looking very festive. Breakfast was very good and freshly cooked to order. The only little downside was that the bed mattress was a little hard for us.

Had 2 nights at this lovely hotel very close to the centre of Bury St Edmonds . Lovely breakfast . Room very comfortable . Would stay again if we revisit the town.

This is my go to hotel for staying in Bury St Edmunds. The rooms are always excellent and individual, clean and well stocked with coffee etc. the beds are amazingly comfortable.
The freshly cooked breakfast is great, and the staff are always welcoming and friendly.
Free off road parking is a great bonus and the hotel is a few minutes from the centre of the historic centre and the cathedral and abbey gardens.
Can’t recommend this place enough!

Second time I have stayed at Chantry House. Once again, a lovely stay. Very comfortable sized room. Always very clean and has a homely feel. Breakfast selection is excellent as is the breakfast itself. Highly recommended.

A lovely property in the heart of historic Bury st Edmunds, a few minutes walk from the cathedral, Abbey gardens and theatre royal.
Staff were very welcoming, breakfast excellent, beautifully presented and very tasty.
There was some road noise but then we were staying in one of the hottest weekends of the year so had to keep windows wide open!
