Great experience staying in this hotel excellent Location it’s in the Moto service room is bright and big everything was clean and tidy the hotel provided breakfast box for £5.95 which was very good the staffs services are excellent and they our very attentive especially guy named sanjag we are very happy and much appreciated being served by them thankyou very much will be back

When we are visiting the UK I always try to find interesting unusual hotels with some character or charm. De Vere Wokefield meets all these criteria in theory, a beautiful historic estate loaded with history. We were staying at Wokefield Place, a newer build add-on, some distance from the Manor House itself. Our 'view' room was comfortable, was well appointed and sort of looked out across into the golf greens in one direction. Given that our overnight was on a Saturday and Wokefield is very heavily marketed towards the golfing crowd, it didn't come as a surprise to find the place absolutely rammed. The restaurant was completely booked out, leaving us the only option of the club bar which again was pleasant enough but heaving with golf groups. We had a perfectly good stay (hence the high experiential score), but it wasn't what I'd imagined, and that was my bad. In reality, this overnight could easily have taken place at a well run hotel/motel on a golf course anywhere in England.

Good location, free onsite parking, staff are very friendly and helpful. I met the owner who did his best to accommodate us any way he could. We chose this hotel as it is pet friendly, there is an excellent park and playing fields located just around the corner to exercise your dog. The room was clean and well presented, very similar in size to a standard at a Premiere inn and would have scored 5 had it not been for a few bulbs not working and some other small things, but I would definitely stay here again. I had the cooked full English breakfast option paid after you’ve dined. This was good value for money and extras were available for a small additional cost. So if you’re looking for a good value pet friendly hotel whilst staying in Reading give this a look.

A lovely, clean and very comfortable hotel, I stayed here for a work trip to reading and this hotel was perfect for the occasion. The breakfast was great and the owners of the hotel took great care of us. I had a great night sleep here without any disturbances. I have to give a big thanks to the owner, my car battery had gone flat and he was very kind to jump start it for me without any haste! Highly recommend this place and very kind owners!
