威靈頓飯店(The Wellington Hotel)

L’hotel è molto caratteristico, si respira veramente la storia. Le camere che ci sono state assegnate erano spaziose e pulite, l’arredamento è in linea con il carattere dell’hotel e non è certamente moderno ma non stona, anzi! L’esterno e il pub/ristorante sono molto caratteristici e d’atmosfera, solo i tappeti che ricoprono le scale e i vari pianerottoli sono davvero usurati e risentono decisamente del tempo ( per questo 4 e non 5) e danno una prima impressione di trascuratezza che poi il resto degli ambienti fa svanire. Il personale è molto gentile e professionale, tenete presente che ovviamente visto l’età dell’hotel manca l’ascensore. Colazione davvero ottima servita in una bellissima sala; abbiamo anche cenato e pranzato presso il ristorante dell’hotel e ci siamo trovati veramente bene! Per cena Ottimo piatto speciale a base di pesce e tenerissima carne alla griglia. A pranzo fish & chips leggero e gustoso e ottimo sandwich al granchio. Noi lo consigliamo!

Lovely hotel and lots the staff were really friendly. Great breakfast and we also had an evening meal there which was good too. Located right in the centre of Boscastle.

Highly Recommend this Hotel. Very welcoming staff and lovely surroundings. My wife and I spent a long weekend here with our Springer Spaniel "Bailey" on 5th - 8th January 2024. Mia, Emily, Karen, Ally, Gemma, Liv and Tamsyn were perfect hosts, making us feel like we were part of the Welly Hotel family, and not just a guest. Bailey, who was spoilt rotten, thoroughly enjoyed the attention and his little gift bag, such a lovely little unexpected extra. Top marks also for the delicious food available. I am a tad fussy about how my steaks are cooked, but Paul (chef) nailed it and produced an excellent 3 courses for us on Friday evening. Our room was clean and well presented, as was the whole hotel. You can definitely feel the warmth and charm that comes with staying in a place that was originally built in the 1500s. Thank You so much everyone mentioned above, for a wonderful weekend and we will see you all again soon

After not being served at either the cobweb or the riverside we were grateful to have been given a table in the very busy wellington for a Sunday lunch. The food was good although not as hot as I’d like and more gravy would have been nice. The downside is that it was £100 for 4 roasts and some soft drinks once a tip had been taken. Staff were friendly enough.

I visited Boscastle for the first time last week and had lunch on the incredibly comfy terrace outside the Wellington. The waitress Wolfcar was full of local knowledge and gave me lots of good ideas on recommended walks she’d been on. Unfortunately she wasn’t there the next day for me to thank her for her recommendation on doing a circular walk to Minster church which was lovely as well as visiting St Necturns Glen. I’d definitely come back here again!

Went for Sunday Roast, food quality was very good except for a very tiny portion of Beef - for £19 made this way over-priced They did have a great group in there jamming away which sort of made up for it, we'll go again but not too eat

An amazing building with staircases in all directions. The turret room was huge, a lovely space with plenty of storage and a fantastic view. Bed was so comfortable, as were the pillows. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Dinner was delicious and waitresses were efficient and attentive. The gallery is a lovely area for a drink, or dining. Great location for embarking on coastal walks and meandering round the village.

We had a wonderful time at The Wellington in Boscastle. The people were lovely, the food fantastic, and our tower room very cute. I was amazed by the British Design of the hotel - it was very authentic. The hotel is perfectly located in a small town surrounded by overwhelming nature and a lot of magic (The Museum of witchcraft, crystal stores, etc). I'd love to come back on the day. ... and I loved the fluffy cushions.
