Good budget hotel. Receptionist was helpful, but housekeeping had forgotten to put any towels in the room. Useful location for getting into Nottingham.

Wonderful welcome from the young lady on reception. Room clean and all as you would expect from a Travelodge. But ... the most uncomfortable mattress and pillows I have ever experienced. I cannot believe that I have actually paid for the privilege. (I realise that for some the said mattress/pillows may provide the perfect night-time experience - just not for me.)

I recently stayed at Travelodge and had an incredibly disappointing experience. I had booked a family room, paying extra for the promise of a king size bed and a single bed. However, upon arrival, I was given a small room that only had one double bed. This was a far cry from what I had been promised and paid for. We couldn't manage to sleep in there. The issues didn't stop there. The shower in the room was not working, which made our stay even more inconvenient. Despite contacting the front desk, the problem was not resolved during our stay. To make matters worse, I felt misled by the app at the time of booking, as they assured me that my requirements would be met. This experience has left me very dissatisfied, and I would not recommend Travelodge to anyone looking for reliable and comfortable accommodation.

If you need somewhere just to stop and rest, you can’t go wrong. The rooms are a bit dated but the beds are comfy and clean. If there’s a sign on reception saying “back in a min - call this number if it’s urgent” call the number or you’ll be waiting there for ages.

Me and my husband stayed here for a wedding and everything was fantastic. Even though the hotel is a bit run down and could do with a upgrade all the staff was lovely. The blonde chap on reception really helped us in the morning as our car broke down and we couldn’t leave but check out was 12 so he let us hang around in reception and even made us a hot drink. If we are ever over here again we will stay here.

Picture the scene: you’re fast asleep, enjoying a deep, soothing slumber and then…BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP…what the effing hell is that noise at 0555hrs on a SUNDAY? That’s the sound of an M&S lorry delivering to the services. This isn’t any lorry driver though, this is an M&S driver, so he makes AS MUCH NOISE AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE. Did you plan on a lay-in? Tough… In an act of humanity, you decide to get up to make your partner a cuppa, after all, she has been woken up by the sound outside too. Turn on the bathroom light to get water for the kettle…remember to close your eyes when you turn the light in the bathroom on, strobe effects can cause seizures and this was a full-on rave. My eyes actually hurt afterwards. “BANG, CRASH, CLANG” No, not an episode of the much-loved 60s series of Batman…remember our friend, the M&S delivery driver? Yeah, he’s still at it like the Ebenezer Scrooge of Sunday lay-ins. This travelodge is cheaper than others in Nottingham. That much is true. It’s because you will not get a good night’s sleep. Do yourself a genuine favour, go stay in the city. It’ll cost more but a good sleep is priceless.
