巴克蘭莊園 - 瑞萊斯城堡飯店

What a beautiful peaceful setting to this unique hotel. The staff were super helpful, looking after us as soon as we arrived. Our room was stunning with a vaulted ceiling and a super comfy bed and view of the local church. Breakfast was great too. We didn’t eat at the restaurant for dinner as we were at a wedding. Over all a wonderful stay.

Decided to visit Broadway for a short stay to both celebrate my wife’s birthday and kick off our retirement. Chose Buckland Manor based on reviews and was not disappointed, room was the size you expect, strange that with so few guests you would expect upgrades a plenty as is the norm. However, the room was comfortable after the exceptional staff sorted the radiator and the bathroom was modern and spotless. The big plus is the food, having eaten at Ramsey at the Savoy, Marco Pierre White in Chelsea and Jamie at St Paul’s the Chef at Buckland made them all look like McDonald’s. Good breakfast, not the greatest, but the staff make up for any shortfalls.

Très belle adresse . Un véritable manoir anglais au sein duquel il fait bon vivre. Le lait frais vous est livré le matin avec le journal à la porte de votre chambre. Tout le personnel est attentionné et à l’écoute du client qui est choyé durant son séjour. La nourriture y est aussi excellente. Si vous avez la chance de profiter du déjeuner du dimanche n’hésitez pas . Il s’agit d’un vrai déjeuner traditionnel anglais qui est délicieux . Les environs constitués de petits villages des Cotswolds méritent de s’y attarder . Les promenades dans la campagne sont agréables . À refaire avec un grand plaisir.

There are many hotels both in and around Broadway. I would definitely give Buckland Manor a miss. The food was just very average and very expensive. We had two glasses of white wine and stupidly asked for a recommendation. The waiter gave us his recommendation and we went with that. He did not mention the cost. When we got the bill we were fairly shocked to find that two glasses of 175ml white wine cost £21.50 each plus 10% service charge, £23.65 each glass £47.30 for two glasses of wine. This place is a complete rip off. We were not surprised the place was almost empty. Avoid at all costs. It will certainly cost you! We would never go there again on principle and would not recommend it to anyone else. We will be putting several reviews about this place on social media. Try the Broadway Hotel, the Lygon Arms, the Dormy or the Fish instead. They are all far superior.
