Saturday 6pm dinner - despite the robotic nature the greeting and initial service I couldn't fault it. Always interesting to see a venue training staff whilst guests arrive but the food was tasty; the confit duck leg cassoulet presentation was poor; however the Massaman fish curry was delicious. Sadly once we had our main course we didnt see our assigned waitress again and I had to get up to ask for the bill and then again to eventually pay. Then to really spoil the end of the evening our coats that had been taken on arrival; no body was available to search through hundreds of coats so we were forced to do it ourselves. The distasteful look on the face of the waiter when we asked if he could help made us think we shouldn't have asked. Then the car park being a dark venue didn't make it easy to manoeuvre and leave ... Unfortunately - we shall not return better service at other local venues.

We first stayed at The Fish hotel when it had newly opened and enjoyed our stay then but this three night break was fabulous. The room we had was large with a fantastic seating area with everything you might expect plus a number of items you wouldn’t! We loved the savour snacks which were replenished and the fresh milk. There were drinks in the fridge which we didn’t investigate so can’t comment on those as such. The en-suite was beautifully appointed and a good size. The shower had the best controls but the shower screen was too small and the floor got wet however careful you were. That and a rusting holder for the shampoo etc were the only problems we encountered. The staff were delightful and the hotel managed that careful balance of being relaxed and friendly without going over the top. We ate in the lounge which was perfect for our needs on this trip. All our food was tasty and well prepared. We hope to back in the future.

A beautiful country hotel set within a 500-acre private estate. With it not being to far away from home, it was the perfect getaway for my wife and I. The room was just perfect along with all of the accessories and little touches provided by the hotel. All of the staff from booking in to booking about went above and beyond. The food was exceptional with a good menu choice. We popped to Broadway Tower and to the small town itself as it’s not too far from the hotel. Overall a very enjoyable getaway, fantastic atmosphere and staff. An absolute 5 start experience.

My partner and I stayed in one of the Hill Huts in September 2023 on a week-long trip to London, Bath and the Cotswolds. We had a lovely stay. The staff were all so friendly. The restaurant the Hook was great. The grounds were beautiful. The Hill Hut was thoughtfully prepared for our arrival. We enjoyed a walk around the grounds, dinner and breakfast at the restaurant, and an evening in the hot tub next to the wood burning stove. We will certainly be back when we are able to stay longer!

My husband and I stayed at the fish hotel for 3 nights after our wedding in July 2023. Firstly, the fish hotel is the most incredible place, and the customer service is second to none. We had the most incredible stay. We stayed in boaty mcboatface and the room was amazing, it was clean and cosy and well looked after. The staff were helpful, smart and approachable and went above and beyond for us. The food was incredible, especially the roast dinner on the Sunday. We highly recommend the fish hotel and sing their praises to everyone. Thank you for kicking off our married life in style Mr and Mrs Thomas

We stayed 1 night in a treehouse. The outdoor baths were definitely a highlight. The attention to detail made our stay, there was a robe and slippers for our daughter and very cute bedding. The box of chocolates for my birthday was very thoughtful. The food was excellent, maybe a little pricey. Only downside was the kitchen extractor fan which we could here at night from our balcony.

If you're looking for a place for a special Sunday lunch, I would recommend a visit to the Hook. It was outstanding! The food was insane, we had the lamb roast and the beef roast which were cooked to perfection. I could not fault it one bit. It is slightly expensive but as a treat I feel it is very justifiable. The service was spot on, with very friendly staff. They could not do enough for you.

Our second visit to The Fish, the last being 2016. We love the space, the quiet and the excellent service. This time, we took advantage of the 3 for 2 summer offer and stayed in the Coach House: a lovely big room with a spacious bathroom, spotlessly clean with lovely comfortable furnishings. Despite the miserable weather, we were able to make some use of the veranda, which was appreciated. It would be fabulous in sunshine! Breakfast each day was plentiful and the service could not be better. A great mixture of continental and cooked dishes meant plenty of choice and variety. We took advantage of the bar each night and enjoyed a delicious pizza on one evening. We didn’t try the restaurant as it was a little pricey and the menu was not really to our taste. However, we enjoyed our time in the bar very much. I would certainly recommend staying here if you are looking for relaxation and good service - I can’t fault the hotel for this. Love the setting and the position close to Broadway. We intend to return!

Another brilliant and relaxing stay at The Fish which has turned into an annual event with close friends. The accommodation (Stables block) is first class with very good amenities. We dined in Hook for dinner and breakfast and as usual found the staff to be welcoming and obliging without being obsequious. We all remarked on this aspect of the Hotel that the staff match the relaxed vibe of the place without being too casual or laid back. Thanks to the team for giving my wife a good stay - when she's happy so am I!
