Große Gemeinschaftsküche und Aufenthaltsraum, da verzeiht man den Platzmangel im Zimmer. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick und ein eigenes kleines Bad. Sehr gut fand ich das Konzep für die Küchennutzung durch eigene Boxen für die eigene Lebensmittel. Die Küche war immer sauber! Die Sitzmöglichkeiten könnten mit der Zeit mal erneuert werden. Die Sessel waren leider sehr durchgesessen und einige Stühle waren sehr wackelig. Durch die unterschiedlichen Besucher war ein buntes gemischtes Publikum vor Ort. Ich fand die Atmosphäre sehr schön im Haus. Die Lage direkt am Meer ist ideal für die Erkundigungen der Insel.

I had planned a 3 night stay but extended it to 4, as I had such a fabulous time. The good weather did help admittedly. Excellent self-catering facilities, lots of equipment and space to cook and dine. There was quite a diverse group of people when I was there, which was really nice and everyone was very friendly. A good place to socialise and make friends. Rooms and toilets and showers were very clean. Very comfortable beds. Staff were often on hand to give advice. I would highly recommend Skye Basecamp.

My sister and I stayed for one night but wished we stayed longer! Very cosy vibe, accessible by bus. Close to Portree and hikes in the area. Room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Kitchen spacious and well equipped. Close to the main road, but just a few meters off, so the sound of the traffic was quite quiet.

What a tine we had at the basecamp. A Lovely warm relaxing atmosphere met us and the rooms were spotless. The kitchen was very well equipped and well laid out. The staff were extremely helpful and the whole experience was just wonderful. I would go back anytime and I am 70 years old

Skye Basecamp is an excellent base for exploring the Skye munros. I was booked in with Skye Guides and this was the perfect base to return to each day after walking. The kitchen is very well equipped, rooms are clean and the atmosphere of being around other walkers is great - I got chatting to a lot of the other guests. The lounge is great to hang around and relax and read a book. There is a drying room for drying off any wet kit from your walk too. Staff are all very friendly. There are plenty of restaurants, a chippy and a Co-op just 5 min walk away for shopping. Definitely recommend booking a guide from Skye Guides if you're going up into the Cuillin to do munros.

The place had everything, friendly, warm and comfortable and knowledgeable staff, a good mix of people, great facilities and access to Skye guides. It is in the town which has most things you need and within walking distance to the restaurant, bars and take aways.
