The property itself was fine - its a nice hotel, comfortable room and bed. No issue there. The reason for my 2 star review - during my stay there was a wind storm that went through that cut the power for several hours - middle of the night to past checkout. I get it, not their fault or under their control. However, when I went downstairs to find out any information or if there was anything at all that could be eaten as breakfast was included, I was presented with stale muffins and rotting fruit (yes, a couple of the apples were going bad!) and their attitude was "Oh well - nothing we can do"
Ok I get the power was out, but being in the hotel industry, you have the responsibility to take care of your guests even in an emergency situation - they were definitely not trained in how to respond to the situation and were also not prepared AT ALL for the most predictable situation - a power outage. No generator, no lights for guests, nothing. Combine that with the poor attitude of the staff (no manager to be found) gives this hotel a failing grade - you can do better.
