Wonderful location in a very beautiful surroundings. Good value for money and on site EV charger is a bonus.

Beautiful B&B, extremely comfortable beds, owners were very friendly, they even left a bottle of Prosecco for us as we stayed there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Overall a very lovely nights stay. 100% would recommend

I stayed at The Old Star for business in the middle of November. On arrival I was greeted by Andy, who couldn't have been more helpful and informative. I had a lovely twin room with on-suite, free Wi-Fi and Freeview TV. My room was very clean, and comfy. It is a very relaxed place, with a help yourself policy to breakfast. Breakfast consisted of cereals, croissants, bread/toast and help yourself to the contents of the fridge (cheese, ham, milk, water and fresh juice). This was perfect for my requirements, and I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone wanting a relaxing stay near Bristol.

The stay was adequate but nothing more and certainly glad I didn’t pay for it out of my own pocket, stayed for work and booked it via the corporate travel site. May, yet very cold room, very small carpark, next to a very busy main road. Thin walls, noisy, and the breakfast is help yourself toast and cereals. Clean enough, but wouldn’t recommend for anything more than one night, and not if you’re actually paying for it yourself.

A lovely greeting, and we were shown to our room (double studio). The kitchen is not in a room but for all rooms to share. It was spacious but a little clunky. The bathroom was very cold on arrival but ok the next day. The shower had very limited head room. A comfortable bed but the room was very close to the busy road so noisy and easily disturbed me, a light sleeper. The continental breakfast is self service with lots of choice, tea, coffee, juice, cereals, toast, pain au choc, breakfast biscuits etc. Easy parking and a good location. I would return but not to that room.

Friendly owner, however extremely noisy doors, was woken up every time a guest closed the doors to their rooms. Shower head and tap need changing. Uncomfortable and noisy bed. Good location but would not consider returning. Given the price it does not represent value for money.
