This is a delightful hotel. The staff are very helpful and friendly - nothing is too much trouble. The meals we had were of top quality with a very good choice at both breakfast and dinner. A special mention of the afternoon tea which was first class and I would advise anyone to come hungry! The grounds are lovely. The drive up to the hotel is rather bumpy and needs to be taken slowly but there are plans to upgrade it in the future.

Wonderful night’s stay at Berwick Lodge and perfect cosy surroundings on a cold winter’s night. Delicious dinner with wide and imaginative choice of dishes on the menu. Ingredients were all so fresh and tasty and meals were prepared with great skill. All staff very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Drinks before and after dinner in the lounge before a blazing fire, a super comfortable bed in wonderful Lydia room and a great night’s sleep made it a visit to remember. Woke up to a snow fall which had enveloped the hotel’s stunning grounds. So picturesque. We enjoyed a tasty breakfast looking out over the magical snowy scene around us. Thank you for a great visit. We’ll definitely be returning! Berwick Lodge really is a hidden gem and highly recommended.

We had a great stay All the rooms are very nice and slightly different in layout and design We stayed in the main house, the bedroom was a lovely size with a large bed and beautiful bathroom. The staff are all very nice and helpful - happy to show us around and gave us a good deal on a upgrade

From the first moment we arrived the venue we were,warmly welcomed by reception team.The staff couldn't do enough for our party and invited guests,to make sure the day was perfect. The food and service were to a very high standard and would recommend this venue.

Stayed for one night in the Troya room which is quirky, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast and service we received from every member of staff were all excellent, which made our stay well worth the price. This is a charming hotel that has put a lot of thought into providing a great environment for the local wildlife and for hotel guests. Will definitely stay again when we return to the area.

For me Berwick Lodge is the best small hotel, no scrub that, the best hotel that I have stayed at in the UK. Is it perfect? Not quite, the room we stayed in Ionia had a quirky combination of beams and oversized furniture that made maneuvering a challenge and would have benefited from black-out curtain liners so why such a glowing review? It is a gorgeous building set in lovely ground with a stunning backdrop, with charming, if quirky rooms but that isn't the reason. Whoever is in charge of recruitment and training is doing a fantastic job. Without exception the staff are thoughtful, warm, welcoming and attentive and made us feel that nothing was too much trouble. I can see why the owners fell in love with the place and they have created something that I have fallen a little bit in love with too.
