The beds are very comfortable and the water pressure is great in the shower. Walls are paper thin, though, so you can hear people in the other rooms, and the general quality of things is fair to middling. Not sure why the rooms are so expensive.

The Hotel on Monroe is beautiful. It is so welcoming, the rooms make you feel right at home. The staff feel like family and although a lot of things are contactless, you have the opportunity to work with them as needed. It was such a great stay!! The owner is the kindest man!! He knows how to run a business, while also having empathy and enjoying his community relationships! DEF SUGGEST A STAY!!!!!

Had a great time staying at Hotel on Monroe. This is our third or fourth visit to the hotel as we have family living nearby. The rooms are welcoming, comfortable and spotless. Silas (the owner) and all his staff are just so helpful and always willing to go the extra mile.

Very convenient check in and check out. No contact which worked fine. Room was decorated nicely but it was not as clean as we would have liked it. Probably would not stay here again unless housekeeping improves, but for the price, this was a decent choice.

This was my first time staying at a contactless hotel. They do have staff and a nice looking main room, but they are only there at certain times. Although nervous about it, I called to verify how the whole thing worked and Jessica returned my call promptly to set my mind at ease. Everything worked to perfection. In and out with no hassle, lines, etc. Room was clean and simple. If you want mints on the table and luxury bathrobes, this is not for you. There was no fridge or microwave in the room either. However, if you want a clean room with a comfortable bed and everything you need, this is the place. Add in a nice quiet neighborhood with many good food options (I recommend the Sheffield Pub up the street) and I was pleased.

I travel to Rochester a few times a year and have stayed at most hotels in this area. This by far was one of the nicest hotels. It’s very close most areas of Rochester and to the counties largest Wegmans! Per some of the other regular guests, they had a recent renovation and it looks amazing. The lobby is self serve and the rooms had new spacious furniture. My new go to!

This hotel was appreciated because we were having a hard time finding a vacancy. The bed was very comfortable. The room had a modern design and a funky barn-like sliding door to the bathroom. There was no one in the office when we checked in or when we checked out. There is a code to put in and we could easily check in but there was no one to ask about getting our discount. Also the air conditioner in our room leaked all over the floor during the night and we had to write a note on a napkin and leave it in the office and hope a human found it. It was clean and the shower was nice but if you like to watch TV you’re out of luck. You have to screencast from your phone . It was fine for a night and had all we needed - including a Wegman’s right down the road- but I don’t think we’d stay longer than that.

Awesome little hotel in a cute little suburb. Mostly contactless so be technologically prepared, but if something isnt right, Jessica is simply a phone call away and the nicest hotel owner/manager I have ever met. Rooms were very clean. Highly recommended hotel! Thanks for everything AND ITS PET FRIENDLY!!!! Our little guy was able to join us!!!

Like the previous reviewer, I'm a pretty low maintenance guest. I look for cleanliness, comfortable bed, safety and hot water in a good location at a decent price. This place has all those things. The room and bathroom were spotless and modern (love the eco friendly toiletry set up and the shower head. ) Well located, and easy to find - lots of food close by. That said, I literally cannot figure out how I am going to check out. They did not mention this when I checked in, and I am pretty confused because of the lack of coffee (which I did ask about - and which I was told was available 24/7 in the ofice, which is now locked.) If I end up coming back to Rochester, which I may, I'll give it another try because of location. Hopefully then I will see a coffee maker in the room and extra towel racks on the wall - currently only one, not environmentally friendly for a 2 night stay. So close to awesome HOM - you can do it - the lot is full.
