I loved this place. I loved that it looked like a Swiss Chalet which you hope to see when visiting Alpine regions. The room was a good side. I loved the retro decor. The grounds were lovely. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was ample. The location despite being on the main road leading to the ski slopes, was very quiet. It was incredible value. The added bonus was the ski shop next door which had long opening hours where you could hire your ski needs/toboggans/boots etc.

We recently stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment at the chalet. I slept in the room with the 2 single beds. As it was next to the kitchen every morning I was woken up with the noise from the kitchen. People talking and water gushing outside the windows. Down pipes had been removed and chains put in. The first night as it rained all night it sounded like a waterfall all night. Kitchen very basic and to cook a meal had to go and buy a pan. Continental breakfast was included such as it was. Wasn’t worth getting up for. Restaurant not open at night and bar either. Would have been nice to have had a drink and sit in the lounge area. No one ever on the front desk not even when we checked out. Would have been nice to have had a friendly face to say goodbye too Rooms very tired and needs new carpets and decorating. Won’t stay there again

Room was like a 3 star motel, bathroom was good. TV in our room was too small. TV in common area was available if you watch the same program as the manager. We were in a large group and this spoiled the holiday for most of us as we all had to retire to our rooms. Food was excellent, home cooked style. Chef was friendly & helpful. Town of Bright was lovely & also the surrounding areas, we liked the Deer/Emu farm and Beechworth. I wouldn't stay there again.

We organised to have our team stay up in Bright and enjoy a Christmas in July-themed event at the Bright Chalet. I also stayed there for two nights. I found the accommodation to be disappointing as at the very least you would expect that rooms would be checked prior to customer check-in to ensure all facilities were in working order. I was without a working tv for two nights and it was found to be an issue with the aerial which could not be fixed and the bedside lamps were not connected which required someone to physically move a heavy bedhead. The most disappointing aspect of these issues was the attitude of the front desk and lack of customer service.

My wife and I have had a short break in Bright for 4 days over the weekend during which we stayed at the Bright Chalet, and our experience there is wonderful. The family room is well appointed and well made up. The hosts and staff are not just friendly but also helpful, giving us the impression that as if we are staying with a family. The continental breakfast included in the price is more than just the basic provisions. Examples: guests are provided with large varieties of cereals (including gluten free ones), yoghurts and bread to choose from. We also have had the opportunity to have dinner at the Chalet, in the form of a delicious buffet, including 2 main courses, four vegetable dishes and desserts. Both the quality and quantity are excellent. During our stay, there was a large group of senior citizens from Glen Waverley/Mount Waverley having a one-week stay there. We can see that they are also happy guests. By the way, the staff there even take the initiative of pre-arranging the tables with individual family name tags so that all guests know where to seat for breakfast and dinner. Also, there is a bar inside the very spacious restaurant. During Winter, guests can hire chain and ski equipment and use the shuttle bus services to the skiing venues.
