We visited for Sunday lunch for 3 generations of family and thoroughly enjoyed the food, the service, the garden and the general ambiance of the place. Two of us returned a few days later (we were not residents) and enjoyed a breakfast. In fact, they opened just for us as their residents left for work before breakfast!

Surrounded by wonderful views, walking paths and close to the sea. Great for relaxing without children, also great for young families - an excellent garden play area.

We booked a table in the bar and had a fantastic meal. We had the fig with walnuts as a starter and the ‘frickles’ as a starter, both delicious. Mains were superb, pork belly had great crunchy crackling and the burger was delicious. A really good menu to pick from, good options for puddings too if you can fit one in, lovely traditional pub atmosphere and very friendly staff. Well worth a visit.

Lovely rural Dorset pub. Excellent food, locally sourced. Staff very friendly. It is very rural, and that is its charm. Do be prepared for high hedgerows and single track roads but worth it when you get there.
