My wife & I booked a meal deal at reception for 8.45pm on our last night in Bridlington. On entering the Cookhouse Pub restaurant at 8.20pm the manager decided to close the kitchen an hour early because of a football match. Nobody informed us, we just found out from someone else. We were told we could still eat but couldn't have a starter. Because of the attitude we were forced to cancel as there's more to having a meal than just eating, it's meant to be an enjoyable experience. This totally ruined the last night of our holiday. The reception knew nothing about the kitchen closing & on top of that, two members of staff didn't know how to do a refund. We had to wait till the next day, so because of the stress of the situation & worrying about our refund we didn't hardly get any sleep. We were right to be concerned, even though I have a receipt, after six days, we are still waiting for our £53.98 refund. I've since found out it could take 4 weeks before I get my money refunded. The restaurant managers attitude was, that he didn't care a less. How this guy got to manage a restaurant is beyond me. Absolutely terrible service. Premier Inn customer service can take up to 35 days to respond to complaints, wow.
