My husband and I can not thank the Heather Glen enough for making our wedding day special from the start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble and they made all our guests feel welcome. Not one of them had a bad thing to say, the food was outstanding, and we will definitely be back to have a Sunday lunch. Want to say a special thanks to Judith who from the moment of contact has kept in touch with all the planning and pointed all the other people involved where to go, we would recommend the heather glen for weddings and for any other function

We took our friends here for Sunday lunch. The evnue was beautiful both in the surroundings of the village and also the dining room that looked out onto the ountryside. There was a good menu choice, although only one actual roast offering. The food was delicious and well served. The waiting staff were ftiendly and attentive.

Had a delightful Sunday lunch in this stylish country house - the service was understated, relaxed and friendly . The food was first class- ( King Prawn starter was so simple and fresh) , the roast excellent - I could only manage a bit of hubbies pudding but it was delicious and rounded off with excellent coffee. highly recommend!

Amazing experience from start to finish for Sunday lunch . From having drinks to being served we felt welcomed and not rushed at all . The food was outstanding and all of our group had something different and we all loved every course ! Have lived in Carlisle for 20 years and can’t believe it’s taken this long to find this amazing place !

Outstanding hotel and restaurant We have just returned from our two night stay at Heather Glen, we were celebrating my husbands Birthday and have had the most fantastic weekend. The hotel is beautiful and immaculately clean. We had a beautiful view of trees and fields from our bedroom and all the facilities were great. The restaurant is superb, being gluten free and vegetarian it can sometimes be difficult to find places that cater, the chef was incredible. I was given multiple choices including breaded brie for starters and a trio of desserts (what a treat when I am normally just offered ice cream!) The veggie pie was delicious - the best food I have ever had. Staff were so polite and friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had the best time. Would highly recommend! We will be back!
