Our room was spacious, with a comfortable sofa, TV, kettle, hairdryer, balcony, USB chargers by the bedside. The room was very hot from the July sunshine and although there was a ceiling fan this had little effect. Aircon would have been welcome. The shower was unusable as the water was scalding hot and the temperature could not be adjusted, presumably due to a faulty control valve. I reported this and to be fair was offered another room by the helpful staff but we declined the upheaval as we were staying for 2 nights only. At one point the TV fell off the wall and upon inspection found that it had not been secured, merely hooked on the wall bracket. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and was good, dinner was good quality pub-type food and, apart from the wine, was reasonably priced . The staff were pleasant and helpful, the young waitresses seemed to lack training but were doing their best. The grounds are spacious and pleasantly maintained, with an outdoor swimming pool and a good-sized carpark. The hotel is set in peaceful countryside close to Wareham and Poole. The spa facilities although mostly working OK were looking very tired and could use a thorough refurbishment. (The men's locker room has a bizarre system for numbering the lockers!) With some updating this could be lovely hotel.

Beautiful "resort" hotel, with great greenery and surroundings, a nice pool and tennis court and big spacious rooms with balcony. All wooden / traditional english country side construction adds the touch. But be prepared, NO Air-conditioning (tough when you visit in July), funny shower system (could never figure that one out in 2 days, in spite of being a big traveler) And no proper restaurant.

We booked in with a group of friends for a long weekend. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved every part of the experience. From friendly and professional staff and comfy individual rooms to a lovely sun terrace outside the bar, overlooking the outdoor pool and large grounds. The restaurant was nicely appointed and we were allocated to sit together, as requested, for our meals and the food was great. We all had pre-war Morris cars and the car park suited our needs perfectly, been large and away from the road. The lanes nearby were perfect for stress-free driving. I would highly recommend this venue for a relaxed and comfortable stay.

Had a free couple of days so booked an overnight at this one of our favourite places. The standard of housekeeping is amazing. All the staff are so genuinely friendly and well trained. Spa is just so comfy. Are in restaurant and had an excellent dinner.

Went for the Valentines eve meal Food was exceptional (lamb Wellington especially) together all staff were super helpful and friendly with amazing attentive service and a beautiful setting We had a wonderful experience and will be returning xx

Should be brilliant; it's a great setting but... The corridors were warmer than the room and while there was a modicum of heat from the radiator it was insuffient and the one in the bathroom just didn't work. Was told there was a technical problem but it wasn't fixed. They did provide an extra duvet and fan (noisy) heater. The stopper in the bathroom sink didn't stop the exit flow of water. The Spa..no obvious sineage of where to get towels etc so time wasted walking to & fro from the main reception. During my stay very noisy building works were being conducted above the Sauna and Steamroom so making not viable. On the plus side the staff I dealt with were good and helpful apart from... On departure the question of whether I had enjoyed my stay wasn't raised hence this poor review.
