Adventures Close at Hand Linville Caverns is located 5 miles north on US Highway 221. Less than 10 miles to the north, via the Blue Ridge Parkway, is the access to Linville Falls and the Linville Gorge Wilderness Area. Within a 60 to 90 minute drive on US 221 North are the charming and quaint towns of Valle Cruces, Banner Elk, and Blowing Rock, in addition to Boone. Along the way you may want to check out Grandfather Mountain State Park and its famous swinging bridge. If you enjoy a college-town vibe, Appalachian State University is in Boone. If traveling via the Blue Ridge Parkway, there are numerous trailheads for hiking along this route, as well as Overlooks that provide expansive vistas of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The community backs up to the Pisgah National Forest and is home for an abundance of wildlife.This home is set up perfectly for multi generational families or multiple couples to vacation together. It is also perfect for any executive company gathering. This home has fever large private ensuite bedrooms plus a bonus bedroom/office on the main level. The home bedroom has a premier king bedroom. The upper level has a king and a queen ensuite bedrooms. The lower level has a queen bedroom with a sauna. This home can accommodate 12 comfortable in beds plus a pull out cough in the loft. Each bedroom, the great room, lower level den and game room has TVs. We have fast high speed wifi internet that should be able to handle most needs including streaming movings, downloading and zooming, etc.The property is very quiet , peaceful and private and sites on over 2 acres with breathtaking views all around. There is a paved, private driveway to the property. The large deck has plenty of seating for relaxing with a gas fire table. For nature lovers, there is hiking, waterfalls, and abundant wildlife in the Preserve. Our community has miles of hiking trails along the pristine streams and rivers with waterfalls. Elevation is around 2700. The closest airport is Asheville, about 45 minutes from the property. Charlotte airport is about an hour and 45 minutes.The beds are all bade up prior to your arrival and we provide towels and linens. The kitchen is impressingly stocked with most items to enjoy your vacation. There are some spices available. Please note the following items: regular drip and Keurig coffee makers, tea kettle, toaster oven and bread toast, blender, hand mixer, Cuisinart, knife set, plenty of dishes, plates, silverware, glasses, etc; mixing bowls, Tupperware, cookies sheets, cutting board, plenty of pot and pans.We take cleaning our cabin very seriously. We have instructed our crew on the latest recommendations such as using the highest heat setting for washing linens and towels, airing out the cabin during cleanings, disinfecting all touched surfaces including counters, door knobs, light switches, remotes, railings, etc. No large weddings, parties or events over the maximum occupancy of the home is permitted. We are pet friendly. Up to 2 well behaved dogs permitted (sorry, no cats or chewing puppies allowed) with prior approval and $195 per rent fee. Summer, holidays and October leaf seasons may have a one week minimum.
