Explore tidepools along the water’s edge or take advantage of the world class striper fishing from the rocks . Eat lobster freshly pulled from the sea by local lobstermen. Go sailing to nearby Eagle Island or kayak the miles of peaceful Harpswell coastline. Curl up in front of the fireplace with a book and a glass of wine. The privacy of this air-conditioned cottage on the tidal shores of Cundy's Harbor in Harpswell is something you will treasure. Sit on the deck in the morning, just feet away from the shoreline, drinking coffee and watching the eagles fly overhead, deer in the woods, or boats come through the channel at high tide. Whether the water is high in Laurel Cove channel or completely drained out, there is always a beautiful view of nature. Swimming from the dock on the high tide or exploring the ocean floor at low tide, it is everchanging, bringing something new each day. Enjoy any meal of the day on the deck overlooking the water. Breakfast, lunch or dinner made in the full kitchen, getting take out from any of our local Harpswell or Brunswick restaurants, or grabbing some local lobsters and cooking them up! There will always be a table with a view. If you enjoy exploring, fill your days hiking some of the many Harpswell Heritage Trust hiking trails. Kayaking or canoeing right from your own private dock on the property, when the tide allows. Take a drive and see all that Harpswell has to offer from gift shops, restaurants, sailing excursions, free summer concerts, to candy and ice cream shops. Fun Fact: the town of Harpswell has 216 miles of coastline! That is a lot to explore. Feel like a break from the coast? Freeport's famous LL Bean and a variety of outlet stores are less than 30 minutes away. Brunswick, only 15 minutes away, is home to Maine State Music Theatre, Bowdoin College with its museums, as well as a thriving downtown area with shops and restaurants. We also have 4 local golf courses. At Laurel Shore you are allowed to bring one dog who is under 50lbs. Dogs require an additional pet/per day charge of $60 per day. We recommend a car for your stay here in Harpswell, Laurel Shore is located 15 minutes from major grocery stores and the town of Brunswick. With a bedroom and separate bathroom on both the upper and lower floors, you'll have a restful night's sleep and privacy. Each bedroom has a queen bed, each full bathroom has a shower, all fresh linens and towels provided. Relax in either the upper or the lower cozy living rooms, they both have a view of the water. The upper living room has a propane fireplace. The lower living room includes a sofa bed for additional space. Stay connected with WiFi and take advantage of amenities like fresh coffee, a hair dryer, washer and dryer, heat and AC, and an iron. Harpswell offers great eating (fresh seafood!), beautiful hiking trails along the rocky coast, gift shops and a relaxing, laid back vacation. During the summer sit on the dock and watch the boats go by or rent a kayak and take a paddle to explore. If you want to adventure away from the house Brunswick, Freeport and Bath offer wonderful museums, plays, countless food options, outlet shopping, including L.L.Bean or go golfing at one of our 4 local golf courses (seasonal).
