The large expansive dock complete with loungers give plenty of room for a large group to hang out all day in the water. Plenty of seating on the deck to watch the sunset while cooking on the Weber grill. Inside will not disappoint as it has been completely rehabbed and shows like brand new. Four bedrooms and two and half baths give plenty of comfortable sleeping room with no over crowded rooms and beds stacked on top of each other. Pro Tip: Bring the plastic Adirondacks from the garage into the water for an ideal place to cool off and spend the day.*note - the dock and swim area is directly across the street from the house.Proximity to Bay Pointe Inn – only ¼ mile down the road and easily walkable. Whether attending an event or just grabbing dinner, Bay Pointe is a great place to enjoy beautiful views of the lake from its upper deck.The 3-season porch is our favorite spot to hang out. It's a great spot to read a book or gather your crew. Open all the windows and enjoy the lake breeze or the early morning crisp air. Even on rainy days, it’s the perfect place for coffee or wine.At the end of a long day of fun in the sun, gather around the Solo Stove for bonfires and smores.We often hear that winter is the best time to be on the lake. The lake freezes over so it's a great spot for ice fishing or hockey and is incredibly peaceful in the winter. Snowshoe trails are nearby. The house has radiant heat, mini-split heat pumps, and an electric fireplace to cozy up near after a day of winter fun.The driveway provides parking for up to 6 cars.Convenient access from Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and most of southwest Michigan and the central Great Lakes region. Only 10 minutes east of US-131.Guest access:You will have access to the entire house. We keep our boat at the dock and store a few tools and supplies in the garage, so we ask that you respect these areas. We will make any areas of the garage that are off-limits clear, but other than that, the house is yours to enjoy!Other things to note:We encourage you to open the windows and let the lake breezes flow. We added mini-split AC/Heat Pumps in all upstairs sleeping areas and the main floor in the Spring of 2024. The cottage has radiant boiler heat throughout and is great for all seasons.We also added a fence in the front yard in the Spring of 2024. The deck and covered porch are roomy and inviting and provide both table and lounge seating for everyone! There are 2 kayaks to adventure around the lake or float down the river into town. The lake is quaint and quiet. There are 2 separate boat launches within minutes of the house if you decide to bring your own boat. With 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, everyone will enjoy their own space. The upstairs hosts a private master suite with its own balcony overlooking the lake. The second bedroom has a queen bed and private full bathroom. The third bedroom has two queen beds and an adjacent bathroom. Enjoy the fully stocked eat-in kitchen with seating for 8, which is the perfect place for game night. Please read amenities description. The home does not have central air but there are 3 air units, one in each bedroom. The internet is not stellar, but will support Netflix, Hula, etc. Thornapple Lake is a 400-acre all sports lake. The Thornapple River flows through the lake from east to west. Historic Charlton Park is located directly across the lake from the house by boat or just around the corner by car. There is a public boat launch and public beach and is a great place to walk, bike, picnic and enjoy the natural surrounds. Hastings is 7 miles to the west and hosts a handful of great places to eat and the downtown area is a social district with lots of shops, brewery and restaurants to visit. There is also a Walmart, TJ Max, Apple Bees, Walgreens, movie theater, bowling alley, parks, and antique stores. You can admire the barn in the backyard, but we ask that you don't go inside of it. There was a leak in the roof and the floor needs to be repaired. There is a hot tub, grill, and dining table available on our deck, which your free to use, but that will be a shared space. The LakeWall Lake is 540 acres and the average depth is 15-20 feet. Many of the residents enjoy fishing. We have steps going right into the lake. The lake ground around our frontage is sandy. We have 2 kayaks, 2 paddleboards, and a paddleboat available for guests to use. In the winter you can ice fish or ice skate once the lake freezes. If you're interested in doing winter activities on the lake, you can check in with us ahead of time and we can let you know if the lake is frozen. Things To Do NearbyDelton has the most inland lakes out of any other city in Michigan. You could stay for a week and try out a different lake each day. The rental is 15 minutes away from the Yankee Springs recreation Recreation Area. Yankee Springs boasts 30 miles of hiking trails across 5,200 acres. Allegan Event is a great place to take the kids or kids at heart. It's 30 minutes away from the rental and is the largest indoor ropes course in Michigan. Play a round of golf at the Gun Ridge Golf Course just 15 minutes away from the rental. Want to enjoy a night out in a city? You can take your pick! The rental is 30 minutes from Kalamazoo, 45 minutes from Grand Rapids, and an hour from Saugatuck. Visiting in the winter? You can cross-country ski at Yankee Springs.
