Nice but lobby no good

Lovely and cosy place in the centre of the village The B&B is lovely and cosy and the staff are fantastic. The main entrance was tricky to find and parking was a bit unclear. Although I received information about 6 parking spaces available to guest prior to arriving, they were not that clear on the day. We ended up parking elsewhere. It's not a massive issue but be prepared to pay around £10 per day. Our room was beautifully decorated and had a small shower/ toilet. The building is about 300 years old so do not expect a brand new facilities. It's charming and cosy but it is small. The room was warm and clean. You need to order your breakfast the day before and select one of 4 options at one of 3 sittings. You can choose between porridge, banana bread, granola or Full English and you book your table for 8.30, 9 or 9.30am. In addition to your choice you can have plenty of toasts with jams or marmalade, Weetabix, cereal, coffee, tea, orange and apple juice. The dining room again is cosy and there is not a lot of space with the tables big enough for only two people We had full English and it was delicious and very well prepared. All in all, a lovely place but if like me you enjoy space, you might not be 100% comfortable... My wife liked it for more than me so it shows that opinions are very subjective.

Our room was on the top floor it seemed to been recently redone and was very cozy. The breakfast choices were perfect and very tasty. Great banana bread. The building itself was very hard to find . We had to ask the shop owners as there were no signs around .

Positive : The area of Bourton-on-the-water is amazing and the B&B is located at the heart of it. The staff, when there, were amicable and the breakfast was very good. Negatives : The quality, cleanliness and the amenities of the establishment are misrepresented on the website. The room we had was outdated and dirty, and major problems in the room (scorching hot water with absolutely no pressure, hard water stains on the the shower doors and handles, hot water tank making extreme noise in our room everytime someone in the B&B opened a faucet, stained carpet, stained walls, stained pillows...) did not justify the high price of the room. The B&B is located on the BACK of a building, using a sketchy back-door that feels like a delivery door where there is no reception. The picture on the website shows a store that fronts the main street and the water but it is a misrepresentation and it should be taken down right now as it is misleading.

Could have been great if the basics improved Hotel is located behind the main street in Bourton. Parking spaces allocated if you can get one. Room was spacious and bed was really comfy. However shower and water pressure was almost non existent in a cold & poorly ventilated bathroom.

The building was about to fall apart. Floors were terribly uneven and hard to walk around. Shower only worked on scalding hot. Couldn't get warm water out ofaucet, only hot and cold separandately. No ventilation, the walls and windows would have water dripping on them. Beds were horribly uncomfortable. Sorry, i hate to give a bad review, but it was the worst two nights of our 11 day trip. They need to renovate.
