We came upon this place after a wrong turn on our first visit to Bonners Ferry in May of 2024 and decided that we should try it out on our next trip to the area. We could not be happier with our stay at Northside School B&B and plan to make it our regular overnight option on future visits. The rooms were clean and comfortable and each one has its unique charm and decor.

Spacious and clean room, thoughtful hosts and delicious breakfasts. Love that it is a generational run B&B. There was a birthday gift waiting for us in our room when we arrived. Had wonderful conversations with fellow guests who are now new friends!. We have already recommended it to friends, and we will stay again!

If you want a place with an incredibly friendly in personalized atmosphere, Northside School Bed-and-Breakfast is the place! It is such a quiet and peaceful place to spend an afternoon or evening after travelling or sightseeing. Highly, highly recommended!

Stayed here part way through our road trip. Wonderful welcome by Jerri who explained a little about the history of the school and how she and her husband Frank came to own the property. Primarily in Bonners Ferry to travel the Selkirk Loop Jerri kindly gave us the low down on the whereabouts of different trails and places of scenic interest. We stayed in the World Studies room but every room has a unique charm of its own. Hearing about the family’s decision to take on the B and B and build it into its present success lent an added dimension to our stay. It is a snapshot of times gone by and you won’t be disappointed. From the homemade breakfast served by the family to the comfortable accommodation and generous outdoor facilities, it’s a must for people wanting something a little bit different.

Northside B&B was very clean, nicely decorated with school scheme furniture and historical photos, and attractive landscaping. We viewed many of the rooms and thought that they all looked very comfortable. We missed breakfast in order to get an early start home but our friends told us it was very tasty. All in all a nice experience. Be aware that it is close to a major highway and it is noisy but they do provide ear plugs if the noise is bothersome.

We loved our stay here! The inn was beautiful and everything was spotless. We really enjoyed the history of the building. The inn keepers were so friendly and helpful with suggestions, like having dinner at Mi Pueblo which was delicious. The breakfast was amazing! We had quiche, fruit and the best huckleberry scones.
