Griyo Jawi - Cabins & Pool

Pretty sure they lost our rezzie and put us in “an overflow or storage room?” Thousands of ants on the mouldings, a state of the art lock system on the door that has a 2” gap at the bottom; termite damage and a really old bedspread 🤮 Take a look at the mirror-you won’t be seeing ANY reflection in this! Our 2 day rezzie was changed by a day and then they wouldn’t refund us for the one night after telling us they were full and then changing their mind again! “Courtyard View?”-not in the room we were at???

This place is very quiet and located in what feels like a fairly genuine bit of Javanese village. The room is comfortable , they put a lot of thought into it, with new AC, lots of power sockets, towels, and a tv, and it’s only 20-25min walk to Borobudur temple. A few mosquitos but not too bad. The bathroom is fairly basic. We got up early with the call to prayer (and roosters) at 4am, walked to the temple and caught a lift from a guy on a motorbike up to a viewpoint to watch the sunrise over the temple. The pool is good for a quick dip after, and the place felt authentic. Glad we ventured out of Yogyakarta for the night
