蓋特威旅館(The Gateway Inn, Newcastle)

Friendly, professional and very competent staff. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed. I would recommend staying at the Gateway, however, would not recommend eating at the Wests Mayfield Club next door - service is very poor and the food is only just average.

Extremely good hotel in very good condition. Very convenient with Wests club a few steps away, with great food. Only issue was the frosted glass between ensuite and bedroom - impossible to turn the bathroom light on during the night without waking partner.

The price per night for the Gateway Inn is to much! I say that with over fifty years of travelling in Australia and overseas. This motel is no better that a highway motel anywhere on Australian roads and yet the price is about $50 more. It smelt, and the rooms were clean but very standard in layout and decor. I will look elsewhere when next in Newcastle

I stay at the Gateway fairly regularly because it is consistently good. This time though, the air conditioning had broken down. The staff were lovely and advised of this prior to our arrival and offered a complimentary breakfast. They placed a free-standing unit in the room the keep it cool. It didn't work out though. The room was uncomfortably hot (29 degrees I believe) so we left late at night for the long drive home. Again though, the staff were lovely and very apologetic. I will return but will definitely check that the air con has been fixed before I do.

Always another delightfull stay , staff very helpfull and full of smiles, rooms spacious and clean. Free parking with additional parking. Looking for faults cant find any !! Thank you from my family to gateway in a place where im always able to relax and unwind after a busy day of activities.

Quiet, well appointed room. Easy access to adjoing Wests mayfiled for dining options.

Clean and convenient location. Plenty of dining options within the co-located Wests Mayfield

The room was nice! And the club next door was great! I really enjoyed staying and hope to again!

Room was nice and overall pretty good although room aircon was set at 20 lowest but was hot inside room.
