I was here attending an event and I did not spend so much time in the room.I can say hotel is good and closer to where the event was held.

Loved the Porto Domus. Very convenient for the metro Campo 24 agasto. In the other direction intersects with Rua Caterina. Easy to walk to Sao Bente station. Bedroom very comfortable and clean. Linen changed daily. Good breakfast overseen by Maria. Reception staff friendly and informative. Shower room very good with powerful shower. Much more personal than a large chain hotel. Happy to stay there for a week. Only thing not to my taste was the orange juice!

Excelente opção de Hotel 3 estrelas. Destaque para o Sr. Antônio da recepção que reúne cortesia, gentileza, profissionalismo e proatividade. Se o hotel não é nenhum espetáculo, o que chama a atenção é o tamanho do quarto e banheiro. Para os que padecem de reniti também faz toda diferença, o piso é vinílico imitando porcelanato. Ficamos no 3º andar, muitíssimo silencioso. O Hotel está muito próximo a Rua Santa Catarina e principal rua da região que dá acesso as principais atrações turísticas e oferece diversas opções de cafés (o famoso Majestic está nela). lojas de roupas e souvenires. Ah na recepção há sempre café fresco e um bolo para degustar.

Me and my family are planning a holiday to Algarve, but as direct flights don’t run everyday to Faro, we decided to make a 3-day short trip at Porto before heading to Algarve. We saw Almada Domus on ******* and decided to stay there as the photos look pretty and it describes its location as very central to all tourists attractions in Porto. Unfortunately, after we made the booking we realised that the hotel is actually located some blocks away from the main streets and requires a short climb uphill to get to, which will be a challenge for my husband who suffers from recurring Achilles tendinitis that makes walking difficult and would require walking aides. On the same day, within 2 hours after making our booking, I emailed the hotel to enquire about cancellation. I explained to Fabio (which I assume is the manager/ owner of the hotel) about my situation and at that time he seemed to be willing to accommodate my request but advised me to contact ******* directly. I then spoke with ******* and was told that they can do a free cancellation upon confirming with the hotel that they’re ok with it. Over 20 emails back and forth with the hotel since last evening, and this morning Fabio abruptly changed his tone and said he will not allow a free cancellation and we will have to pay a 50% penalty, as the booking is now “outside the 2-hour cancellation window”, and it would be “unfair to other guests” (even though I did contact the hotel about cancelling within 2 hours after making my booking, hoping to minimise the impact on their business). I was also told by Fabio that “Porto is a hilly city like Lisbon, which are not friendly for people with walking difficulties” and said but we can Uber everywhere…. I was very shocked with his last comments and obviously disappointed that he was unwilling to help even though he said he would at the beginning when I first contacted.

Location a short walk from metro station. Excellent friendly staff always happy to give advice/help. Rooms very clean and good size particularly the bathroom. Maria in the breakfast room produced a very good selection including home backed cakes and tarts. Coffee and cake available free in reception area. Overall a very enjoyable stay for touring the city.

Booked as part of a Portugal Getaways seven-night package from Toronto, and it's been a very good experience. Can't comment directly on the price, the package included airfare too. Location is pretty close to a metro (subway) station, and in walking distance to the train Sao Bento station (around 1.5 Km). Easy to walk to the main tourist attractions, even to Douro River (OK, coming back means some steep hills, could be difficult if any mobility issues.) Room is "European" (read small), imagine a queen bed surrounded by a less than one meter large area each side. The furniture also includes two nightstands, one chair, one table and a small fridge. The wardrobe closet is rather large by comparison. It could be a challenge for two adults, especially if luggage is for longer trips. Bathroom is pretty good too, shower only but clean and well maintained. The safe is old-style, with a key (that's easy to carry). Wall-mounted TV, with over 120 channels - many in English. Breakfast is EUR 11, small variety but fair - it starts at 7:30 AM so one could have it and still catch a train at Sao Bento before 8:30 AM to visit other cities (a brisk walk included). Very good service from all staff; I was impressed how proud were the breakfast ladies of cooking themselves the desserts in-house. Overall I would recommend it, can't compare with any other hotel in the city centre area.
