This is the filthiest and most psychotic backpackers I've ever stayed in. Booked a double room, told at 7 pm that only dormitory available. Rude Chinese speaking receptionist couldn't understand why that was a problem. Room was ten degrees Celsius in the middle of winter, no working heater or blankets. Fan heater had no working fan and kept tripping all the circuits when it got hot. Receptionist thought it was fine because it felt hot to the touch. Most power points in the rooms are hanging mid air with wiring exposed. Sink in room had no hot water, hot tap permanently shut down. Fire alarms and night evacuations are regular. If you ask to speak to the manager you are told "we are all managers". The actual manager pretends she can only speak French.
