金洛克之家飯店(Kinloch House Hotel)

Probabilmente il più bell'albergo di Campagna in cui sia mai stato. La permanenza al Kinloch trasmette la sensazione di esser ospiti presso una importante famiglia scozzese piuttosto che risiedere in un hotel. Ho avuto occasione di conoscere la famiglia dei proprietari che si sono rivelati essere persone molto cordiali, gentili e sorprendentemente espansive. Il servizio è molto raffinato e signorile grazie ad un personale attento e sempre presente benché mai di impiccio nonostante le " dimensioni ridotte" della struttura. Per quanto riguarda il cibo siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti, la cucina tradizionale di stampo britannico / francese è di grande livello, il menù contempla spesso cacciagione e cambia ogni giorno, la carta dei vini è ben selezionata e con prezzi accessibili tenendo a mente che in Gran Bretagna i prezzi dei vini sono spesso molto elevati rispetto alle nostre abitudini. Le ordinazioni per la cena vengono raccolte durante il pomeriggio cosicché giunti a tavola si trova la propria bottiglia di vino aperta ed in caraffa e i piatti arrivano senza dover proferire alcuna parola. Le camere sono ampie, pulite ed arredate con ottimo gusto coerentemente col tipo di dimora. Quel che più mi ha colpito è che ogni piccolo o grande dettaglio dei camini, porte, arredi o luminarie è d'epoca e perfettamente conservato. Congiuntamente alla permanenza nella dimora la struttura può organizzare per attività all'aperto come battute di caccia, pesca o escursioni fuoristrada per vedere animali e paesaggi.

Kinlock House è un particolare Relais & Chateaux ubicato n nella miglior campagna scozzese vicino a molti castelli e residenze storiche da visitare. La qualità del servizio, dell'accoglienza e delle camere, una decina in totale e pur da rimodernare, è sostanzialmente buona. Buono il ristorante che è una perla nella radicale assenza di validi ristoranti della zona, indubbia grave pecca del Regno Unito mai risolta da secoli. Valida anche la carta dei vini. Per il resto privacy, tranquillità, silenzio e buona campagna.

What a privilege to stay in such a beautiful house. We needed a couple of nights away to recharge our batteries and Kinloch House lived up to our our expectations. We loved sitting by the open fires enjoying a well deserved drink after a day in the cold, fresh air. Dinner was exceptional both nights with everything cooked to absolute perfection. The breakfast was also very tasty and set us up for the day. What makes the stay special is the level of service. Paul is a master at making you feel at ease and relaxed in a wonderful environment. We will definitely be back.

We were staying in the area to visit family and wanted to take them for a nice lunch. I had checked the website in advance for the menu and prices and it all seemed fine at £ 25.50 for 3 courses including tea/coffee. I checked if there were any supplements for Sunday lunch but could not see anything. It was therefore a shock to get there and find the lunch priced at £45 pp plus £ 7 pp for tea / coffee / petit fours. Obviously I couldn’t say anything as it would have embarrassed our guests. I could understand a small supplement for Sunday lunch but this was too much. The actual lunch was very nice, with good service. The menu used a lot of local ingredients and the roast beef and local berries were excellent. Had it n it been for the price discrepancy I would have given a much better rating.

A lovely hotel ,beautiful views, friendly staff and a great dinner menu which changed daily.Highly recommended Rooms on ground floor, 16 ,had an excellent walk in shower with lovely toiletries. A fan was needed as so warm and one was provided

Beautiful house and environment. Spacious and cosy rooms. Incredibly nice manager and attentive staff. Excellent kitchen. Small paradise. We recommend this historical house - you feel very welcome and well served. It‘s a privilege to stay in a place like this.

We recently enjoyed a delightful stay an our way up to the highlands. Country house hotels when they are run well are like a capsule in time for all the right reasons. We had a beautiful room and exceptionally appointed bathroom. Both the dinner and breakfast were of very high quality and the attention to detail was evident in both meals. Although our stay was short we will look forward very much to returning.

Absolutely excellent experience from beginning to end. The most exceptional service of any hotel I have ever stayed at in the world. Every detail and every request is attended to. Nothing is too much trouble. Paul the manager is an amazing gem: exceptional customer service. Anya also at the front desk works like a fiend to insure that you are delighted. The food is amazing. A new farm to table menu is available every evening. The menu is delicious, classic with an innovative twist. The desserts are amazing and all made on site. We cannot wait to come back again.

Truly relaxing and wonderful experience the restaurant food and wine was excellent and the staff very attentive the location has breath taking views and is very peaceful the public areas are full of character and a spotless
