Cilffriw Farm

We could not begin to describe the stench when we walked in the door. The place was filthy. We walked out the door after looking at our room and bathroom and promptly booked into a nearby hotel. Complained to *********** unsuccessfully. She makes a fortune by people paying and not staying. We are from australia. The pictures do NOT reflect what it actually is.

Beautiful setting. Very friendly, welcoming, helpful host. The cottage is full of charm, it's like stepping back in time. You might not be mistaken to feel you're in a period BBC drama with an odd spider to add to the authenticity :) You wake up with the sounds of ducks, cows and chickens chatting. My bed was super comfy and the breakfast was plenty, lots of fresh berries, toasts, orange juice and more. This place is such an amazing value for money. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful idyllic country cottage, Old building with old but very comfortable furniture. Owner and housekeeper were very welcoming to both us and our dogs, and explained as soon as we arrived that the boiler had broken and was awaiting an engineer. Electric shower worked perfectly. Well stocked continental breakfast. Shared bathroom which was not an issue as only one other couple staying. Plenty of things to do with in a few miles drive and local take away shop delivered. Will be visiting again in the summer.

I was outside to barking dogs and noone answering so went around the building to find a man in the garden He said he would come to the door were I was. He held the dogs while I went into the darkest dingiest room . He showed me around kitchen ,downstairs bathroom which I would use Putting lights on as we went through an tired and dismal lounge then to my "Bed" room. There wereno keys to the room it was a front room with all the furniture in- Chairs ,table , sofa and dresser with pictures and ornaments and a bed and side table in the corner. I looked in the dresser drawer s they were full of personal items. There was no wardrobe or drawers to put my things. It smelt fousty and damp. I asked to speak to the owner but after waiting an hour I packed up the car. As I was leaving she turned up. She said I had asked for a downstairs room and the bedrooms were upstairs as I cannot get up and down stairs this was no good. I said I asked for a downstairs room I expected at least the basic wardrobe and drawers unit for my clothes as I was there for a week, she just turned and walked away and I said I am leaving. This ruined my holiday I was so looking forward to With a dog you cannot just go to any one else and after trying numerous places I decided to go back home

Stayed here overnight when had to go to area for funeral … Have got to say beautiful surroundings. Very comfortable bed & room .. Shared bathroom but acceptable Varied options for continental breakfast Was beautiful hid away gem Was so peaceful sitting outside for breakfast Can honestly say u could here a pin drop it’s that quiet & tranquil
