Thornton Manor莊園

Probably the worst accommodation we have stayed in. Housekeeper Annex [right] was damp and cold. We did not have a choice as the cottage we had booked was for some reason unavailable, this after paying in full a month before. We were offered a 2nd floor place, but as we had stated we needed ground floor as we are in our 80's and also needed a shower this was not acceptable.. This place had a very steep uncarpeted staircase and no shower. The annexe had no cooking facilities for S/ Cat, just a toaster. 2 cups, 2 plates a couple of knives and forks and nowhere to wash them. No wardrobe just a tiny rail with 3 hangers, which meant we had to leave our suitcases on the floor. This meant climbing over them to move round the room. The lady in charge was vey unhelpful and we had to take the annex as she insisted there was nothing else available. I have e-mailed twice, with no reply. We think a refund is due as the cottage we stayed in was inferior to the one booked. But after reading the other reviews where people have lost so many deposits and even the full amount for Weddings I can see this won't be forthcoming ! Beware !

We have just left Thornton Manor after a wonderful stay. The staff couldn’t do enough for us, even upgrading us when we told them we previously got married there! The room was spacious, spotless and the bed was so comfortable, but what really made our stay special was the attentiveness of the staff and how they were really invested in us enjoying our stay. A beautiful building and grounds, it was a joy to be back. Thank you so much!

We were looking for pet friendly accommodation on the Wirral and so pleased we found Thornton Manor. Phil and Dianne the owners of this magnificent country house estate made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. Our accommodation was lovely , spacious, quiet and even had a hot tub built into the bathroom. The history of Thornton Manor is fascinating and you can see all the various developments over the years with all the different owners. We will definitely make Thornton Manor our go to place when visiting my home town of the Wirral. Mike & Lynn

The whole process from start to finish was very efficient, friendly and helpful. The 3 bedroom cottage was enormous!!! It had 2 large double bedrooms with ensuite, and one stand alone loo, and another huge double bedroom...all very warm and clean. The downstairs had a oldie worldly sitting room, with a kitchen off to the back, which had a bad door leading to the hot tub....we spent a lovely time with a glass of prosecco chilling. Emma has been amazing, and would recommend this accommodation to anyone who wants a lovely area to explore via foot or car. We opted for foot and went to the local pub for dinner....and Thornton hall for afternoon tea.. Thanks again Emma.

Booked several rooms with Thornton manor for a wedding night. Wedding was cancelled due to covid and family illness. Refusing to refund any money. Credit note no good to me. Even asked for 50% refund in compromise. Management not willing and ignoring all communication. Rip off! Paid for a service I didn’t receive!

Gatehouse: Incredible accommodation with many of the original features still remaining and original charm. Everything is catered for, including toiletries, coffee, Wi-Fi, etc. Hot tub is a bonus. Can accommodate 6 people, but just the 2 of us stayed and loved it. Cannot speak highly enough about this beautiful property. Communication with the company prior to visit was great Will definitely be returning
